The winner of this challenge will receive a fabulous Bonbon Belles CD worth £17.99 and our 2 runners up will each receive a download bundle. Great prizes! You have until Sunday 29th at noon to enter - please make sure you follow our simple rules and the challenge!
So let's see what the Design Team have made today!...

Hi everyone! For my "one for the boys" project I have used these stunning papers from Studio12/polkadoodles CD rom Picknix, using the heavenly garden section of papers. I have also used this cute "you're my cup of tea" digi from Emma canning at Polkadoodles and have added some Polkadoodles dew drops and a celebrate stamp From the stamp doodles sentiment collection.

Sally - Hi, This week I have made a boy's card using all the elements from the Pretty Tuff CD Rom.
I printed the image called Dylan and coloured him in using my Graph'it markers. I printed two backing papers and matted them on red cardstock. Wrapped some twine and added a sentiment.

Zoe - I've opted to make a card for my son's birthday, inspired by our love of our favourite football team - Bristol Rovers, known as The Pirates. I've taken images from the Bonbon Belles CD into Serif Craft Artist.  I digitally created the main topper using the pre-coloured images except for the Pirate boy. I coloured him by hand using a mix of markers. I added an inked die cut under the main topper and then used papers from the collection to create the background and added tickets too.

Claire C. I've made a Christmas card for my lovely son using one of the gorgeous images from the 'Here Comes Christmas' cd, coloured with Graph'It markers and a backing paper from Angelberry Christmas Cd. I added some clear crackle paint around the penguins feet to make it look like they are on the ice
Karon - For the boys - hmmm!  Don't we all struggle with these peskie men/boy cards?  Well, I acutally enjoyed this one.  My image is from the Candy Doodles CD and is coloured with pencils and Gamsol.  All my papers and the sentiment are from the Sugar Birdies CD.  Both of these CD's are so versatile, with tons of fabulous elements.  I made a faux frame for my little boy image and raised this up on pop dots, as well as the sentiment to add some dimension, and inked all the edges of all the layers.

Fliss - I decided on a Christmas card to add to my little growing heap as we have several male relatives on their own and my absolute favourite snowman ever from Nikky is on the Here Comes Christmas CD which is where the lovely snowflake paper and sentiment can be found too. I printed the snowman out on thick cartridge paper and coloured him with Aquamarkers. I partially covered the card blank with the snowflake paper and added a sentiment ticket printed out on snow flake paper, matting this and the image on red card.
Alethea - because it's my week to do a tutorial, I thought I'd learn something new myself, then explain it to you!! Perhaps not the greatest of ideas but I'm still happy with the way this turned out. I used pre-coloured images from the Bonbon Belles CD to create my magic slider card!! For all the details please see my tutorial!

Asha - A boy card when my creative juice has all but dried up? I must be in hell... that is until I saw this adorable pre-coloured Highland lad from the Bonbon Belles CD. And it did not take me long to whip up this not-so-wee card for a not-so-wee boy. If you ever find yourself in a creative rut, this CD is just the thing for you. It has stunning papers, gorgeous images (pre-coloured and B&W), fab elements - and the card is done. All I did was add 3 buttons, a bow and voila - an easy-peasy crowd pleaser.
Miria My project is a tag - I do love making tags :) I used some scraps  from cds, I tore and distressed them. The digi is from fab  Bonbon Belles CD, I coloured it with Distress and cut it out then added some buttons and a rafia bow.
Lidia My Card for this Challenge is 5.5" x 5.5" and all the papers and embellishments are from Pretty Tuff Cd-rom Collection I sew the papers, add a button and some glossy accents and this is the result I Hope you like it!
So there is your inspiration this week - you have until Sun 22nd September to enter this challenge and the winner will be announced on the 27th - don't forget you can win a great prize!
See you next week!

The winner of this challenge will win a heavenly bundle of goodies worth £50 from Polkadoodles!!! A massive prize!! And our 2nd and 3rd winners will also win a copy of the Angelberry CD too! Woohoo!

Right, let's get on with it!

Asha - Fairy time! What a wonderful excuse to play with Christmas fairies. This week I bring not one but two fairies with this swing card made entirely from images, papers and greetings from the delightful Angelberry Christmas collection. I added very few extras in this production - just some Liquid Pearls and Stickles. If you like fairies and Christmas, this CD will keep you busy with fabulous festive makes.

Sally - "Fairy Time"  For this challenge I have looked through my Polkadoodle stamp sets that I have and decided to use Fairy Flutterby - Maggie.  I coloured her with Graph'it markers, stamped the butterfly on card and vellum and coloured them identically. I cut out Maggie and the butterflies and adhered them together using Pinflair Glue.  I found some butterfly background paper in my crafty stash which is off of one of my Polkadoodle CD Roms and mounted that on some turquoise cardstock then onto a Kraft card.  I then went into my Bonbon Belle CD Rom to find a flower to match my fairy. Printed it 4x6 size and then cut it out. Adhered my fairy Maggie onto the centre, added a sentiment and toadstools from the stamp set. I also added a touch of glitter to her wings x

Zoe - For this, my first time DT project for Polkadoodles, I chose to use the very gorgeous collection that is The Bonbon Belles CD.  I chose two different fairies - one I hand coloured with a mix of markers and the other a pre-coloured image from the CD. Together with papers and embellishments from the collection I created pages in my craft journal. It's something I love to do and find it's something to look at for inspiration. The sentiments are from Picknix collection (Studio 12) which I wanted to finish the pages.

Bev - This week I opted to use the gorgeous Sugarplum Daisy CD Rom. I printed off a few digis to make up my picture and coloured them in with my Graph it markers. The backing paper and cute tickets also come from the same CD. I inked up a doily to add a lacy edge, a leafy die cut & a flower from my crafty stash completes this bold design.

Karon - This week we were asked to try and put two different fairies on the same project.  Did you know that owl fairies actually give the fairies their wings?  Well, that is what I am going with :-)  My little owl is from the Bonbon Belles Double CD and the second fairy is from the CD collection All Around and Everywhere.  I made an accordion card, or triple fold card, and layered it with papers from Cherryblossom Lane CD (Butterfly paper) and the Double Sprinkle of Kraft CD (Daisy paper). The main sentiment was also from the Double Sprinkle of Kraft CD.  The little ticket "Just a note" was from the Cherryblossom Lane CD.

Alethea - Well I went all out this week and became a little creative!! I created a door or wall hanger for one of Logan's friends' from school who is having a party this weekend! I went through all my Polka Doodles cd's looking for fairies and accessories to go with them and decided to use the new Bonbon Belles Cd disc 1 and 2. I was initially going to make a card then got a great idea to create a scene on acetate! The only thing not from the Bonbon Belle's cd is the mushrooms  (from Sundae of Seasons cd)  that I have incorporated into the garden! Parts of the garden are raised so there is some dimension, I added kindyglitz for some sparkle, rhinestones for bling, replaced the flower stems with twine as well as the banner string, then added the painted chipboard letters.

Claire C  - I'm in the festive spirit this week and getting ready for Christmas, talk about organised lol. I've made a double sided door hanger using images and papers from Angelberry Christmas Cd. The images were coloured with Graph'It markers and I've added some die cuts and a sparkly moon made with Maimeri Glassy Gel. I've added some text to the sky, on on side it says 'Santa Please Stop Here' and on the other its says 'I've been good', I've popped the sparkly moon over the text so you can only see it at certain angles. I've done a tutorial on how to make the moon so scroll down if you fancy having a go.

Anjie - I know it's not my week but I loved the theme so thought I would gate-crash with a card.
The papers and images are from the Sugarplum Daisy CD-Rom. I have coloured the image with Graph It markers which you can buy from here.

I've added some faux stitching to the papers and some glitter to the wings. I've made the roses from the same paper then added some lace, a feather and a die cut doily for some added interest. I'm really pleased with how this card has turned out, I think it's because it's in my fave colours!

Hi there, It's Rebekah here with my first DT project for polkadoodles and the Fairy time challenge!
I have created a bookmark pocket card for my daughter.
I have used the chocolate lime papers from the Bonbon Belles double CD. Both my fairy digis are from the same CD and I have coloured them both with pencils. The great thing about digis is being able to resize them so I could make a tiny one for the bookmark, of course you might want to use a pre coloured image if you don't like colouring in tiny details!
.....
I have also used the Bonbon Belles CD for many of my extra elements like my layered butterfly and ladybird and some of my flowers, all from the coordinating collection. My stamp on the bookmark is Polkadoodles sensational sentiments Stamp doodles.

Miria For my card I used two fairies from Bonbon Belles CD , as you can see, they're different sizes, the one in the tag is a mini fairy :) it's so easy to fit them as you like! They are both coloured with pencils. I die cut some scraps of patterned papers from Sugarplum Daisy CD to use as a background and added some sentiment tickets.

Fliss For my creation with 2 fairies, I've made a double sided mobile designed to be hung up so that it will twist in any breeze so that you can see the different fairy on each side. I've used my 2 favourite fairies from the Bonbon Belles CD and have used 2 of the absolutely gorgeous floral wreaths to sit them in. I used precoloured images as I'm short on time at the moment but with Nikky's wonderful colouring you'd never know! I added a scattering of gems and pearls and some pretty roses to finish off.

Nikky...I made this Angel (well they're the same as Fairies really right? from the Angelberry stamp using my Graph'It markers. I wanted to add a warm glow so it looked like the 'Peace' was lit up from underneath...
Lidia... And for this challenge I made a triptych with tags, this in turn also serves as Mini Album, fairies are Maggie, Babsie and Meeshelle; Papers from Master Final  Cd, flowers are from  Studio 12 Stamps.

WOW!!! What an amazing array of beautiful projects the team has produced this week, just stunning work from everyone! Hope you can go and visit all their blogs because those girls sure are talented!

So there is your inspiration this week - you have until Sun 8th September to enter this challenge and the winner will be announced on the 14th - don't forget you can win a great prize!
See you next week!

Please also remember if you wish to enter the challenge you MUST USE an Angelberry Digistamp and if you don't have one please look above for details on how to get your FREE one!

Congratulations to you all. Please all email Nikky and don't forget to quote your winner's code - we cannot release prizes without it!  Blinkies are in the sidebar for you to grab.

The theme this week is .....

"Have a Heart"

and we cannot wait to see what projects you make using this theme as your starting point. Now last week the DT (Group A) had an extra challenge, so it would be very unfair (don't you think?), if this week the DT (Group B), didn't also have the same challenge but with different set of "DigiWorld Downloads" to help create their projects. You will find their projects this week under the relevant DigiWorld download they have used.

Using the  Classic Hearts kit

Classic Hearts/Wedding Download Bundle

CLAIRE C: Hi there, I've made a card using paper and one of the toppers from 'Have a heart', it was a quick card to make, I just added a bit of distress ink and clear crackle paint to the heart and added some ribbon, lace and pearl trim.

SALLY: Hi there, Here is my challenge card  "Have a Heart" I made this card using the downloadable bundle from the Classic Heart Kit. This card will be sent to my neice and her fiancé as they have just got engaged. I used two Spellbinders dies for the sentiment and frame.

FLISS: Hello from me too and I decided to make a pretty bag and matching card set perfect to give the happy couple on their wedding day. As I love mocha and gold, the Classic Hearts set is just right. All I did was cover a plain kraft bag with some of the gorgeous heart paper and add a central border. I then added some rather rustic braid to trim the bag. I made a matching card and added a metal heart embellishment to finish.

Using the Heart to Heart kit

 Heart to Heart Download Bundle

Asha: This is such a versatile and cute little love collection. You can make all kinds of projects for Valentines, Engagements, Weddings or anytime you want to spread a little love. I made a diorama card to send to one of my oldest friends, just to let her know that i'm thinking of her... with love. All elements are from the Heart to Heart kit and to jazz things up I used some sheer ribbon, bling and liquid pearls.

Miria I made an easel card; I used an image, paper, embellishment and sentiment from Heart to heart Downloadble , so quick and easy! I just added some half pearls.
You can use it for any occasion you want to send some love :)

Using the  Love Birds kit

Love Birds Download Bundle

KARON:  Hi everyone.  Here is my little bit of inspiration using the above kit.  I made a joy fold card.  My sentiment on the inside is from the Love and Cherish CD, which this download bundle is from.  I added a little bit of ribbon down the left side of the card and also raised up the topper on pop dots.

BEV: I love this download bundle! I used the bird digi stamp, copied, pasted & flipped it in my graphics programme, placed it in the heart digi then cut it out and coloured it in and glittered their tails. I made a central stepper card and used the complimentary papers and border to decorate adding text & faux stitching to finish it off. I think the end result is fresh & funky.

Alethea - I decided to make the bird cage from the Love Birds kit. I printed out a full a4 page of this paper then printed the template on the back!! I did change it slightly  only because I didn't want to print out another whole page for a couple of bars! I fussy cut the love birds and stuck them together. To finish off I just added a couple of heart embellishments. I had fun making this!!

Lidia Hi! For this challenge I made this green and funny card with a polka heart the papers, border and flourish everything from the Bonbon Belles CD, adding tree buttons and some glitter on the flourish I hope you like ;)

Now the lucky winner of this week challenge will win one of these delish DigiWorld Downloadables, which is a great way to begin your Polka Doodles digi obsession. We also have some fantastic prizes this week too. 1st Prize is a Bonbon Belles CD Rom worth £17.99, 2nd prize an Angelberry Christmas CD Rom worth £11.99 and 3rd prize, a Download. So don't forget you have to be in it to win it!

Asha - Here's a birthday card you can make in no time at all. All the elements for this card can be found in the versatile and timeless Sugar Birdies CD. I did some embossing for the background, adhered a fussy cut topper and greeting from the CD. And to jazz it up I added some bling, twine and ... googly eyes on one of the owls. I know one little girl who's going to be very happy with this!

Bev with my take on this weeks challenge! I edged my diamond top card blank with a floral punch border and matted with backing paper from Candy Doodles CD collection I then edged with a black peel off. The digi is also from the same CD which I coloured in with alcohol markers. I added a pretty pink ribbon and bow, a sentiment and a few paper roses. A pretty card for a birthday girl!

Karon - Birthday girl, what a fabulous challenge.  For my bit of inspiration this week I made a side easel card.  I used an image from the Candy Doodles CD and the papers are from the Sugar Birdies CD.  She is coloured in with alcohol markers and I made some clouds with a mask.  All the layers are inked around the edges.  The sentiment stamp is from the Fairy Flutterfly Gracie set.

Claire C - Candy Doodles is the perfect CD for a special card for the Birthday Girl, I've coloured the image with Graph'It markers and create a cloudy background with PanPastels. The backing paper is also from Candy Doodles and the sentiment is a rubber stamp from Sensational Sentiments

Sally - Hello Ladies and Gentlemen.  This week's challenge is "Birthday Girl"  I chose Fredricka from the Fredricka CD Rom and coloured her with my Graph'it markers. I used my Pan Pastels
to soften the edges and mounted her on a Spellbinders die.  I chose a background paper from the Fredricka CD Rom.  I made my card a stepper card and matted and layered the two steps with the
background paper and grey cardstock.  I added some bling to the sentiment and topper and to the lower step.  One Classy Lady!

Alethea - Ooopsss clearly I didn't get the memo about this challenge..LOL! originally when it was set we were to make an invitation for a girl so I wrote that down on my DT calendar and although I have checked the challenge a number of times, I somehow missed the change! So I have made a birthday invitation for a girl, which I actually really struggled with because I don't have girls so have never had to design a girls birthday invitation! Anyway, I used the Double Sprinkle of Kraft CD for the paper, the pre-coloured image and the butterflies and I got the flowers off the Sundae of Seasons cd. I then added a few embellishments!

Miria - For my card I used coloured stampies from cd Candy Doodles ; I cut the girl out to give dimension. The paper and sentiment are from the same collection; the cage is a die cut from Marianne Design. I just added a fabric bow and some gems.

Fliss - A quick and easy shaped card from me this week using the gorgeous cupcake decoupage set from the Candy Doodles CD. All I did was print out the elements, cut them out, layer up with foam tape and add one of the ticket sentiments coloured with a pink Promarker.

Now it's your turn and you have until 12 noon on Sunday 11 August to enter and Good Luck!
