Here are more fantastic creations from the team
Anita  Today I am bringing you some birthday inspiration using polkadoodles

Birthday cake digital image I have been dieing to use this image, so this is just perfect for this occasion,  I coloured using Alcohol markers a background technique using alcohol cleaner and a splash of ribbon.

Ruth:  I've used the very cute Winston Bear Birthday and coloured it up with Promarkers.  I've made a he into a she for this card to celebrate a first Birthday!  Papers are from Work and Play 10.

Anjie -  I've used the stamps from the fabulous Lemonade Fizz collection which you can order HERE. I stamped and coloured up lots of petals, leaves and shapes. I coloured them once again with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour paints. Then I cut all the elements out by hand and arranged the petals and leaves over some I had stamped direct to the card. I shaped the leaves before sticking them down to give them some dimension. I then stamped a border and a sentiment and used the new metallic Gansai Tambi paints, which I have to say are LUSH! More details and photos on my blog.

Claire C Come and join Winnie for a birthday! I've used a digital image called Winnie Sugar Sprinkles Springtime - Cake and chocolate with Miss Candy Cremepuff! - Printable Digital Stamp Download and coloured her with my Graph'It markers. The teapot template and the gorgeous papers and embellies are all from Lavender Tea and Magic Garden

Bev here. For my birthday card I used the uber useful Winston collection & as I've not had a lot of time I used all pre coloured images. For more details on how it's constructed feel free to pop over to my blog here.

Katrina:  I've used the digi stamp Birthday Rock Cake from the Sticks and Bones CD for my card and coloured her in with alcohol markers. The grass is cut from one of the Texture papers on the CD using an icicle die and I cut the cake layers by hand from one of the Animal Print papers that I thought looked a bit like currants :)

Now lets see what fabulous Birthday inspiration the Design Team have for you this week.

Ria -Happy Birthday Polkadoodles.. for today's card I used the sweet Maddie Twirling Curls, coloured with markers and pencils. For the card I used the pretty Lavender Tea Collection and a wooden 7 from my stash...

Scatty Jan - Who doesn't love a Birthday party? Well my project started out as a cake, which in turn turned out to be afternoon tea - which then had to move outside as it became an afternoon tea party. I have used so many collections which are all listed on my blog along with a lot more photos and info so pop across and help yourself to a slice of cake xx

Jenny - Happy Birthday Polkadoodles! For my card I've used Lily Love Bug and I chose the heart because we do love Polkadoodles! You can get her as a single digi or as part of a collection, here.

Karon - Happy 7th Birthday Polkadoodles, whoop whoop!  :-)  I have used the fabulous Winnie Fruit Punch collection for everything on my card.  I used a pre-coloured image and also added some beads and wire to the butterfly.  I love doing easel cards, they come together so quickly.  This Winnie image is also available as a single black and white digi for you to colour up yourself, Winnie Wishes.

Carol - Happy birthday Polkadoodles - for my inspiration I have made a cake card using a background paper from Winnie Fruit Punch for the icing, added a die cut sentiment and then decorated the cake with some toppers from Winnie Sugar Sprinkles and of course the candle embellishments from the Winston Collection. I also added some pearls, a rose and some ribbon and bows.

Such wonderful creations from the Design Team.

INTERNATIONAL DESIGN TEAM CALL - MAY 2016

Hey all you awesome crafters!

New awesome crafters required for our fabulous team!

WE ARE LOOKING FOR MORE THAN ONE PERSON as we have 3 different teams so this call is open until all our positions are filled.
We are looking for general cardmakers, colourists who like to use digis and anyone who loves to digiscrap!

At Polkadoodles we have a variety of products from digistamps and clear and rubber stamps, digital CD collections to die cut sheets,  not to mention lots of other things we do and make. We sell our lovely products around the world and we need talented crafters to help us promote what we do and are on the lookout for exceptional creative talent that can help us make our products look great and help to promote the Polkadoodles brand.

We love crafting and we need people who love our products and what we do to come and join the fun!

We do have some stringent requirements for our teamies but if you can manage the following we'd love to hear from you:

1. You must be able to commit to a team - many people underestimate how important this is, we're not interested in people who flit from team to team to gain new stash or having no staying power, we commit to you and so we need that commitment back.
2. You must be able to complete projects on time to deadline - deadline failure is a big no no!

3. Blogs and Social Media - you MUST have a blog which is updated regularly and be present on Social Media - or if you're not you must be willing to be involved in Social Media. This includes Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest and any others that come along too! If you can’t engage regularly through Social Media with our potential customers then this role is not for you.

4. You must be able to post at least one project every 2 weeks and an additional project here and there as and when required.
5. Samples – we are a high profile Company and we need people who can make physical samples (if you’re in the UK) to tight deadlines as and when required.

We look for variety within the team so it's not always about having the best of everything in one person - we want to show how versatile our products are.
Skill level - you need to be of a suitable skill level and be capable of good composition in your projects. Projects need to be finished to a high standard.
Colouring skills – You don’t need to be the greatest colourist in the world but if you are then it earns brownie points! We need great colourists AND people who make beautiful projects so you need to be a good all rounder.
Photos - you MUST be able to take good photos of your work. Your photos represent our products and they need to be a good standard to showcase them properly.
You will be generously rewarded with products to use during your time on the team in return for your hard work and commitment.

Most of all - we need people who ADORE craft and live and breathe for it. We want people who are always looking to improve their skills and who are team players in it for the long haul.

So if this is you, email us with why you wanna be in the team and examples of some work, we’d love to see them!

TO APPLY:
email us a short bio explaining why we should choose you (no more than 50 words please!) together with your BLOG & Social Media links to:  sales@polkadoodles.co.uk

CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: 30 JUNE, all applicants will receive a reply once a decision has been made either way.

The latest releases Little Kingdom and Magic Garden and accompanying Stamp Soup sets
have been such a hit....

Little Kingdom Collection - over 500 printables

Now lets see what the Design Team have for your inspiration this week....

Scatty Jan - For my with wings project I made a little post box which I cut on my portrait - I then used the lovely Lily Bug collection to decorate it , you can find that here. There are lots more photo's and info on my blog so please stop by xx

Jenny - For my things with wings  I have also used Lily Bug Love and have made a 7 inch square card. I put all the items on to a couple of pages in Craft Artist and then once printed cut them out and layered them up.  This is my first card with this collection even though I have had it for a while, hope you like it.

Carol - for my Things with Wings inspiration, I used the beautiful Bees, sentiment, background paper and  Honey Bee from the Winnie Fruit Punch collection and made an easel card. I coloured my images with my copics and you can find the colours I used on my blog.
Ria - For my Inspiration Things with wings I used the gorgeous Serenity Fairy Kisses and coloured her with water-colour mediums. The sentiment is from the Twiggy and Toots collection.  And my flowers are from the Lavender Tea Collection.
Jackie - This past fortnight has been busier than usual for our household! Luckily for me, I was able to play around with the Lily Bug Love Collection and create a card using my computer. I think I will build up a collection of this type of card front for those busy times when I need a card in a hurry!!
Karon - I needed a quick card this week as I nearly forgot it was hubby's birthday!  As I always print out lots of bits and pieces and papers, I delved into my Twiggy & Toots folder in the drawer and found just what I needed :-) A pre-coloured topper, which is also available as a single digi purchase for you to colour and you can find that HERE.  The Twiggy and Toots Collection is full of fabulous inspiration and if you love owls, you will fall in love with these! A bit of inking and layers and a quick card was put together. Phew!
Such wonderful inspiration for you this week.

Week 18 - Polkadoodles Crafting - Things with Wings

Shop on Etsy

--------------------------------------------------------------

Happy Friday everyone! Our new challenge is
Things With Wings
You can make anything you like for the challenge, as long as it follows the theme.

You do not need to use Polkadoodles products to enter our challenges. Our rules are over there in the side bar ---->
You have until Noon, GMT, Friday 20th May to enter this challenge.
The winner of this challenge will receive a $10 gift voucher to the Polkadoodles download store.

Now let's see the inspiration for the challenge...

Claire C  I've had lots of stamping fun creating this card using some of the fab new Stamp Soup stamps! I just love toadstools and I couldn't resist making a fairy too. The staircase and backing papers are from the CD collection 'Magic Garden', the stamps are mostly from the Magic Garden stamp set with a couple from Little Kingdom. These new goodies sold like hot cakes on C&C but you can preorder yours here and here! Be warned though, these stamps are totally addictive

Ruth:  I've used the very sweet Lily Love Bug collection (available in either cd format or download) to make my card - I've used one of the pre coloured images, fussy cut it and then added two of the frames plus a sentiment.  Really quick and easy to make especially when you're on the last minute!

Katrina:  I've 'built' some flowers and a butterfly using the gorgeous stamps in the Lavender Tea Stamp Soup Collection and coloured everything in with Brushos. The sentiment is printed from the Lemonade Fizz CD.

Bev here. This week I combined the challenge subject with a birthday card for my hubby. Using Winnie Fruit Punch.  He does like to go over my cards with a fine tooth comb to see if he can guess how I made it. CD crafting doesn't have to be flat and one dimensional you know and when combined with layers, inks, ribbon & embossing you can make something really, quite special.

Anita -  . This week I have chosen to use Lemonade Fizz Stamp Soup Collection  and tried my hand at a little reverse stamping to make the wings , all coloured with alcohol markers and got busy with my scissors.

Anjie I've used images from the fab new Magic Garden CD. I've used my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour paints to colour them and the background in. I've printed the pots and toadstools a few times and decoupaged them up. The dragonflies are also cut separate and shaped and raised to give them a 3D effect. I've used a fine liner to draw the lines around the edge, layered it onto black card and used some raffia to finish it off.

Lou: I have used papers, stamps and embellishments from the wonderful "The All This ... For This kit" to create my card. Butterfly background created with the stamps, made in to panels and then layered on
to one of the backing papers. Sentiment and watch embellishment also from the same kit.

Lovely creations to inspire you all with our Things With Wings challenge!

Our winners of our Swirls and Flourishes challenge and our Feather in my Cap winners for using PD images (more details on this up top in the tabs section), will be announced next Friday.

Have a great weekend everyone.

Thanks for sharing your creations with us, we love coming to visit and appreciate you taking part in our challenges.
