Let's see the inspiration from the team - today we've been creating lots of lovely sweet treats inspiration for you!...

Jane Robinson - Hi there and thanks for taking a peek at my project today. I have my first DT projects for you and they're spooktacular... let me know if the puns are a little dated and annoying lol. This gorgeous and sassy lass has eyelashes to die for and I need them in my life. This is ScaryGloria and I love her. She is part of the Monsters Download collection and there are a whole host of different digi's that complement her. I also used Trick or Treat printable papers for the background. I printed her on 300gsm watercolour cardstock, then I used dye inks to watercolour her. The ink pads in particular are Catherine Pooler inks in the following colours: Flirty Fuschia, Something Borrowed, Aquatini, Pixie Dust, Buttercream, Spiced.

Enrica - Hello everyone! For my Halloween project this week I made a pumpkin shaped card and used the
Pumpkins Halloween Gnome digital stamp, everything colored with Copic. I added a sentiment from the Halloween Trick or Treat printable download Sentiments set and a few embellishments from my stash.

Renske - With great pleasure I made this moon-shaped Halloween card. I colored the digital stamp 'Boo Ghost Halloween Gnome' with alcohol markers. For a striking moon, I used a purple pattern paper from the set of Boo Halloween printable background papers. I pasted this on black paper so that there is a black border around it. I used the sentiment EEK from the Halloween Trick or Treat greetings. I have adjusted the sentiment in Word. I made the letters green and printed them out. I pasted these letters on black paper for a black border. Hope you like it! Happy Crafting!

Judy: I've created a pumpkin shaped card for my DT project this week.
Patterned paper was printed from Halloween Trick or Treat Printable Papers,
die cut into 1 oval and 2 circles cut in half and glued together for my base. The focal image is Witch Cauldron Halloween Gnome. I colored her with Prismacolor Pencils and fussy cut. A few die cuts were added and the sentiment was printed from Halloween Trick or Treat Printable Greetings.

Natalia - We are continuing Halloween and I have another pumpkin-shaped card. I again used a giant pumpkin from the new collection - Ghastly Ghost Halloween as a house for Monster-mash- from a pack of Hocus Pocus Witches Halloween printable digital stamps. Everything was colored with alcohol markers.

Tinne - Hi everyone! This weeks challenge is all about Halloween shapes, so I created a pumpkin shaped card. I cut out 5 ovals in light yellow cardstock and inked them with different shades of orange Distress Oxide ink. I drew the stalk of the pumpkin on light brown cardstock, cut it out and also inked it with brown Oxide inks. The patch of grass was created by cutting is out of light green cardstock with a die and also slightly inking it. I coloured the cute little witch with my Copic markers, and added a sentiment from the Halloween Trick or Treat printable greetings. You can turn the pumkin into a card by tracing its shape on a card base, and cutting it out with some scissors. Glue it behind your pumpkin and you’ve got a card!

Deborah - Hello everyone. Are you ready to make some spooky cards? For this week's challenge, I decided to made a spooky Halloween easel card using the Cordelia Witch Digi and the "Hocus Pocus" sentiment from the Boo Halloween Digi Sentiments Set

I just love the moon's glow on Cordelia. I used Distress Oxide inks on the moon (Stormy Sky and Lost Shadow) and sky (Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Chipped Sapphire, and Villainous Potion). The rest of the images were colored using Copics. If you would like to color her up like I did, I have included the colors I used below.

Cordelia Dress & Hat: YG 01, 05, 09 and G19
Stockings, Sash on Hat, & Hair: BV 02, 04, 08, 13 and C 1, 2
Boots: C 1, 2, 4, 7
Crystal Ball: BV 0000, 01, 02, 31
Skin: E 00, 11, 13 and RV 11
Rocks: C 1, 2, 4, 5, 7; W 1, 3; Y 00; B 34; BG 72; BV 23; E 54, 74

Sabina - Hello everyone. We're all for Halloween shapes. I made a coffin card. I used dark grey cardstock for the base and then covered it with papers from Halloween Trick or Treat printable papers bundle 2. Cute Little Witch Boo Halloween stamp is coloured with Ohuhu markers and die cut with Sizzix. The sentiment is part of Halloween Trick or Treat printable Greetings.

Let's see the inspiration from the team - today we've been creating lots of lovely inspiration for the coming season!...

Today we're welcoming some super new crafters onto the team and we can't wait to start sharing their work with you all! So big huge welcomes to Mayte and Naomi!

Naomi - Hello everyone! Excited to be here, YAY! I did a gift bag for this week's "anything but a card" challenge. I picked Gnometastic Sunny for my main digi, with two digital papers behind him, which are Halloween Trick or Treat printable papers and the Halloween Trick or Treat printable papers bundle 2. The tissue paper for the gift bag was made by printing Polkadoodles printable papers on a sheet of tissue paper to match the background of the gift bag! The two cute acorns attached to the ribbons are from the fall-autumn Digi bundle. As for the sentiment, I picked a matching sentiment from the Spring Gnome fun puns, quotes and sentiments-printable stamps for cardmaking. Gnometastic Sunny is coloured using my Ohuhu markers. Please see below for the colours that I used. Follow me on Instagram
I used the following colours:
  • Hat: BR1, YR5, YR2
  • Shirt: Y10, Y4
  • Pants: BR1, YR5, YR2, & Y3, Y11, Y2, Y1
  • Beard/ Shoes: CG1100, CG1104, CG1107
  • Leaves: G1, G3, G8
  • Flowers: Y3, Y11, Y2
  • Accorns: BR1, YR5, YR2

Mayte Castañeda - hello everyone I'm so excited to be part of the Polkadoodles team! I made a cute Halloween Tag for this first post - I love this Witch digi so much! She is from the Spellbinding Witches collection and is called Cordelia - I look forward to following your blogs and hope you will also follow my social too!...

Sara Wyles - I've made this all-out purple card today using strips of embossed card and this super cute image from the Boo Halloween collection called Bat Girl Boo - she is SO adorable!

Pam ~ Our challenge this week was 'no cards - tags, books or gift bags. With Halloween approaching, I decided to make a tag to add to a gift or treat bag. I covered my 2" x 4" Kraft tag with the spiderweb paper from Polkadoodles Boneshakin' Halloween Craft papers. I cut and Copic colored a full moon for the background and secured it. Then I stamped and colored several of the images from the Scary Boo stamp set and fussy cut them out. I raised the bat, girl and top of the candle stick with foam and secured the other pieces at the base to completed the cute little tag.

Merja - This time I made a glittery flower tag. I used the Blossoming Rose stencil and glitter paint pens to create this beautiful flowery background (sorry, the glitter doesn't show very well, it's a pain to photograph). I think the pattern itself is so beautiful that I only added a congratulations text stamped on vellum (using the Sentimentals stamp set) and a black satin ribbon.

Irre - Sharing today a new project made for Polkadoodles. As a focal point, I used the digital stamp called Serenity Fairy kisses. I colored her with Copics and then cut her out. The background is made of watercolor paper. I colored it in with Distress ink, water splats, and stamps from Best day ever. I decorated with sewing threads, purple flowers, die-cut out leaves from the Super sprigs cutting die. I added a sentiment and added some white splats with white acrylic paint.

Wendy - Hi everyone! I'm stepping outside of my comfort zone today and NOT making a card. Instead, I've used the new super adorable Snow Globe Carol Singing Bella Christmas Bear to create a really fun double sided shaker ornament. I just love Bella and all of her adorable friends in the Christmas Bear bundle. It's that time of year when we need to get a move on and make those Christmas cards and crafts. Play along with the challenge today and start crafting with me. I can't wait to see what you create! Thank you for looking!

Nunzia: my project today is a handmade paper bag. I decorated it with a patterned sheet from Lily bug papers and flowers cut out from another piece of paper. I coloured this charming Girl with flowers in hair with alcohol markers, fussy cut it and glued to one side of the bag. The sentiment is part of Lily bug messages.

Rachael - Hello crafting friends!. Rachael here again with some more inspiration. You don't just have to make cards with your crafty stash. how about using some stamps and some card to make bag toppers for cute trick-or-treat bags. these could be for a party, or just to hand out. I used a stamp set called Fab-boo-lous but you could use any image for any occasion.

Let's see the inspiration from the team - we've been creating lots of lovely Halloween/Autumn inspiration for you!...

Today we're welcoming some super new crafters onto the team and we can't wait to start sharing their work with you all! So big huge welcomes to Jane Robinson, Tinne PeetersSarah Wyles and Deborah Hellman!

Jane Robinson - Hi there. This is Jane, and this is my first DT project for Polkadoodles and I couldn’t be happier to be part of the guest design team. I used Wheelbarrow Gnome and Frankenstein Gnome coloured using my Spectrum Noir markers. I have the Tri-blends and the brush Tri-blends and used a mixture of the two. The colours I used are as follows:
  • Purple blend – PL, PL3, PL2
  • Alpine green blend – AG5, AG3, AG1
  • Orange blend – OR3, OR2, OR1
  • Brown grey blend – BG9, BG6, BG2
  • Ice grey blend – IG10, IG7, IG2
  • Dark red blend – DR7, DR4, DR1
  • Earth brown blend – EB7, EB4, EB1
  • Fair skin blend – FS8, FS7, FS6
I also used a touch of coloured pencil for more definition, and Gelly Roll no.10 for highlights. I added the ‘EEK’, and the 'Pump Up Your Pumpkins' sentiments mat on pink, purple and black card stock with thin borders to help those sentiments to pop off the card. I fussy cut the cauldron, ghost, bat and haunted house from the patterned paper for added decoration.

Tinne Peeters - Hi everyone! For my first challenge as a DT member I chose a ghost as a Halloween icon. The Boo Ghost Halloween Gnome precoloured digital stamp is perfect for it! I created a full moon background using stencils and Distress Oxide inks. I cut out a black grass border using a die, and inked the top of the grass blades with blue ink. The sentiment I used is from the Halloween Trick or Treat Printable Greetings set. A video of how I made this card will be available on my Instagram page, I'd love it if you'd follow me and say hello!...

Deborah Hellman - Hello all, so good to be here!  Here are two cute Halloween projects that I created using the Digi Winnie Wednesday Witch and Cat. For the Halloween treat bag, I slightly enlarged the Boo Halloween paper  in order to cover a 8.5 x 11" landscaped paper and added the image before printing. I then folded, glued, and added an optional decorative border and ribbon at the top. After completing the bag, I decided to make a smaller matching card using the same image. The sentiments for both projects came from the Boo Sentiment Bundle .I colored all images using Copic alcohol ink markers listed below. I hope you like them as much as I enjoyed creating them.
  • Robe, Hat, Hair: RV 52, 63, 55, 66
  • Hair, Hat, Cat: C 2, 3, 5, 7, 9 and BV 23
  • Pumpkins: Y 35 and YR 15, 18
  • Skin: E 00, 11, 13 and RV 11
  • Dress: BG 11, 23, 49
  • Broom and Pumpkin Tops: E 23, 27, 79 and YR 31
  • Buckle: YR 31 and E 31
  • Leaves: YR 31 and BG 93

Sarah Wyles - I'm thrilled to be part of the team! Today I've been busy creating with the super cute witch from the Boo Collection and layering paper textures. I inked all around the edges for a spooky feel and made her look a little 'green' lol.

Judy: My DT project for this week's challenge is a Halloween card created with the Grab Your Broomstick Matchables Stamp and Die SetI colored the images with Spectrum Noir Markers. The background was done by watercoloring with Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens. The sentiment was stamped and die cut.

Natalia - Halloween has been on our blog lately, so today, I have another card with pumpkins for this occasion. I used a giant pumpkin from the new collection - Ghastly Ghost Halloween. I used Boneshakin Halloween paper as a background, and additional images such as leaves, bats, and small pumpkins are from the Autumn Fall Halloween Treat collection. Everything was colored with alcohol markers.

Sabina - We are in the Halloween mood. I made a quick and easy Halloween treat holder out of 6"x 6" piece of paper and decorate it with the paper scraps from the Happy Cactus Succulent printable paper patterns 1. I added a pre-coloured Apple Bobbing Halloween Gnome digi and one of the sentiments from Halloween Trick or Treat printable Greetings.

Enrica - Hi everyone, Happy Halloween! This week the DT was asked to use Halloween icons and I decided to make a card with the cute Boo Halloween Ghost digital stamp which includes most of them (a ghost -of course!-, a pumpkin, a coffin and some spiders), added a scary sentiment from the Halloween Trick or Treat printable Word Art set and a bat from an old Halloween set. I created my purple background colored with Copic, patterned paper is from the Halloween Trick or Treat printable papers bundle 2.

Sonja - These Boxes are quickly crafted I simply used my favorite papers from Halloween Trick or Treat printable papers bundle 1 and printed out in large then I folded the triangle Boxes and decorated with Halloween Trick or Treat printable Word Art and finished are the treats for our neighbor kids little Devil Boo is a great sweet decoration as well as on one of the boxes for a special person.

Renske - Hello everyone. This time I created a Halloween gnome card using Polkadoodle's digital stamp Pumpkins Halloween Gnome. I coloured this super cute stamp with my alcohol markers. I also used two different patterned papers from the Boo Halloween printable background paper digital bundle. I combined these to make a background for these fun gnomes. I used the patterned paper with the spider webs to add some dimension with the colours black and blue ink. In addition, I cut ghosts from another patterned paper to glue them onto the spider web paper. This way you can easily create your own background. To finish the card I used the text "Pump up your Pumpkins from the Halloween Trick or Treat printable Greetings set. I hope you like it again. Happy Crafting!
