You can see the winners of our last challenge at the bottom of the post so scroll down, but in the meantime here are the fabulous DT creations for your inspiration this week....

JAN - I used papers and elements from the 'Dollie Daydream CD' to make a card this week. I absolutely love this little shop and the colours are fab!

Sally - Hi, today's challenge is "Shop till you Drop"  so I used one of the images from the Dollie Daydream CD Rom which I coloured with my Graph'it markers. I used pan pastels for the background and then matted and layered the image on plain cardstock.  I then printed off some backing papers, sentiment and  flowers from the CD Rom to finish the card.  Added some buttons for the centres of the flowers.

Alethea - I decided to make a shaped card using one of the shop images from the Dollie DayDream Girl Talk CD Rom. I painstakingly card the pre-coloured shop image out by hand cos I don't have any fancy machine to cut it out for me :) I then cut out the Dollie Daydream pre-coloured image and the shopping bag and put them at the shop door as if she has just purchased something. To give the card a little something more I covered the windows of the shop in with crystal effects so that it looks like glass and also on the La Mode sign. I then just added Kindyglitz to the middle of all the flowers.

Asha - My friend just had a baby  and I got the little darling a two pairs of  booties. Inspired by this week's shopping theme I decided to make a gift bag to house the baby shoes. I'm using papers, Build-a-Fleur flowers and a sentiment from the Dollie Daydream CD. This collection is not just for big girls. Start them young... get those babies onto the shopping bandwagon!

Bev Oh how lush is this fab Dollie Daydream Girl Talk CD the digi's are just wonderful to colour in all the papers used are from the cd as is the sentiment. I made the the roses by hand from the papers on the cd just adding 2 punched borders and some distress ink creating a bright funky card.

Karon - Great minds think alike and I too made a shaped card with the shop that is on the CD.  Don't you just love all the elements this Dollie Daydream - Girl Talk CD has to offer.  Love the colours too.  I actually coloured my Dollie with pencils this time around.

Kerrie - I really love the 'Dollie Daydream - Girl Talk' CDrom and for this Challenge 'Shop Til You Drop' I chose to use some the Turquoise and Beige Elements from the collection and I could resist mixing it up a bit Polka Dot Papers and the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun script papers - the 3D Flowers and Rolled Rose are from the CDrom's Build a Fleur section which I absolutely adore, I cut out the flowers and curled them with a bone-folder tool, the rolled roses are formed using a quilling tool. I've coloured the Digi from the CDrom to match the colour theme. The sentiment is also from the CDrom and I have also used the Matching Insert from the CDrom to finish the card xx

Lidia Hi! Girls and here is my Card for this challenge, I use the Girl Talk´CD rom my colors are in pink!!!  So I hope you Like it.

OK, let's see what the team have for us!....

JAN:  I made a Tag using the brand new 'Dollie Daydream Girl Talk Collection'. I am absolutely loving the shoes and this has to be one of my favourite colour ways too. All the elements are printed from the collection and the flowers are printed, cut out, inked and assembled from the 'Build a Fleur' section. All I added was some brown co-ordinating cardstock and a few embellishments from my stash!

Sally - This week's challenge is "Girly" - Well who doesn't love shoes?  This fabulous image is from the new Dollie Daydream CD Rom which I coloured with my Graph'it markers, it took a while but I am pleased with the results.  I printed off the papers from CD rom also. Printed out the sentiments and cut them out using Spellbinder dies. I punched out some flowers using the left over papers. I also die cut out a banner and put "SALE" on the hearts.  Made a stepper card and put it all together.

Karon - Girly!  Well I just had to make a card using one of the shoes. I created a template and then cut the shoe shaped card.  After printing out the papers from this fabulous new CD, Dollie Daydream Girl Talk, I then printed the shoe on top of the paper.  Cut it out and then also cut out the bow to give some depth. Used one of the rolled flowers off the CD too, to top the bow. Also used one of the toppers off the CD, and added Happy Birthday to it.

Bev what a great start to the New Year with the fab new Dollie Daydream CD from Nikky. The colour scheme of this collection is right up my street. I printed off some fab pink backing paper then got on with colouring my digi girl & shopping bags. I put it all together adding the very apt sentiment and used some ink, lace & buttons from my own crafty stash. I just adore this collection.

Alethea - How fab is this new Polka Doodles collection  Dollie Daydream Girl Talk. I love the girls and all the elements that go with them. I used this pre-coloured Dollie Daydream image and cut her out. I created the paper using papers and borders  then added the sentiment. I made the flowers from the 'Build a Fleur' section. I then just added some bling to finish it off.

Asha - I made this 6" square card for my friend's daughter. She'll be celebrating her 18th birthday at the end of the month and rumour has it she's partial to shopping.... aren't they all at that age! Polka Doodles' stylish new mini collection called Dollie Daydream Girl Talk really is a dream to work with.

Kerrie - Such a Perfect Start to the New Year, creating with this Beautiful Collection 'Dollie Daydream Girl Talk' it's just so pretty and perfect for all those Girlie Makes for Shopping Addicts, Fashionista's and Girlie Girls in your life. I love the collection and so do my little girls. I made my card using a beautiful Paper some of the Build a Fleur elements with a Dollie Daydream Digi and Sentiment all from the CDrom - I used 2 Nesting Dies, some Black Cardstock and some gems and buttons from my stash

Lidia Hi girls! happy to start 2014 with this new PolkaDoodles challenge and this beautiful collection   Dollie Daydream Girl Talk I hope you like my projects, a bag with ribbon and beautiful flowers this beautiful card and wish you a very happy 2014 full of success and many blessings.

Christmas - Inspired by a Christmas Carol!

Although we set this challenge for the team, this week we've decided that

you can enter ANYTHING GOES as a theme for Christmas.

Have a look at the fab samples from the Design Team.  Closing date for the challenge is Sunday 29 November at 12noon GMT and don't forget to link your actual blog post so we can come and visit you!

We have tweaked our challenge rules and we are now picking a RANDOM WINNER each week to get one of our great prizes! Alethea - I have decorated a candle this week for my inspired by a song creation!! The song that inspired this was "Hark the Herald Angels sing" I have used images from the Angelberry Christmas CD and added kindyglitz and rhinestones to jazz it up!
Asha - This week I made a paper bauble using papers from 2 Christmas CDs: Angelberry & Home For Christmas. I made them plain, without embellishments because so often we overlook the gorgeous papers in these CDs. Of course you  are free to embellish these baubles anyway you wish. For me, baubles mean one thing "It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas"

Karon - My carol inspiration for my card was - can you guess?  "Oh Christmas Tree".  I used a fabulous cutfile for the snowflake (under the tree) from the Studio 12 Picknix Collection 1 CD, the papers are also from this CD.  The tree is a pre-coloured image that has been glittered up and this, and the sentiment are from the A Home for Christmas CD.
Sally - Hi, so our challenge this week was to be inspired by a Carol.  I chose this lovely image of three carol singers from the Here Comes Christmas CD Rom and two of the papers.  I cut a scalloped circle from the dotty paper using a Spellbinder's die. Then I matted it onto the other background typography paper which I matted on a burnished silver pearlescent card. I die cut some music notes and added the words of a carol - Noel, Noel.
Zoe - So this week, I took our DT challenge literally! 2 CD's it said, so sure enough I used the gorgeous 'Home For Christmas' cd together with the fabulous 'Angelberry' collection, but then I also took 2 old CD's to make the bases of my decoration. I printed off papers & embellishments from both collections to cover the cd's, and I also printed the beautiful digi image of the Angelberry Peace angel which I coloured with a mix of markers. Once everything was dry I glued each part to some Christmassy ribbon. My carol inspiration was 'The Holly & the Ivy'!
Claire C - I've made a little door hanger using my favourite polkadot papers from Angelberry Christmas CD and a sentiment and embellies from Here Comes Christmas CD, the images have been coated with Glossy Accents and I've added some Doodle Dewdrops and a few dots of gold stickles too
Lidia Hi! Everyone and for this challenge I made a simple card, I use traditionally colors, red and Green, the paper stripes and the image are from Sundae of Seasons CD, and the border are from Picknix CD Collection , I hope you like it.

Closing date for the challenge is Sunday 29th November at 12noon GMT and don't forget to link your actual blog post so we can come and visit you!

Happy Friday everyone!

On a completely different note, our Nikky has had a really exciting time lately as she's launched a brand new business which is just awesome and quirky, just typical of the Polkadoodles stylee, so go take a look here, you'll love it and if you need Christmas pressies you are bound to find something!....here....

The Random Winner of our Week 43 challenge is:
No 10, Berni C - well done Berni!
Please email us here to claim your prize which is £30 worth of stamps from Polkadoodles, woohoo!
Our Fave Top 3 this week are: No 1, Valerie, No. 8 Kerry and No 15 Eret! Well done ladies, grab your blinkies from the sidebar and thanks for joining us!

Now let's get on with this weeks challenge which is:

A Christmas Tag
The design team were challenged to use at least 3 tags on their makes this week and we'd love you to use at least one if you can but hey, we're easy going so if you can't manage a tag then show us something Christmas instead!

The winner of this challenge will receive a £10 voucher for the Polkadoodles store which includes downloads too - great prize!!
Closing date for the challenge is Sunday 17th November at 12noon GMT and don't forget to link your actual blog post so we can come and visit you!

Alethea - Looking at the other DT tags mine are a bit plain but decided that I would create my own gift tags for xmas presents this year. I didn't want to make them fancy cos they will only go in the bin. So I created my own tags in publisher and I used images and sentiments from the Home for Christmas CD and I also made a box for them to go in. The template for the box is also from the Home For Christmas CD. I did add some kindyglitz for a bit of sparkle.
Asha - This week I bring you tags. In fact, I made a giant tag embellished with tags...It's tags galore over at PolkaDoodles! All images and papers are from the Home For Christmas CD. Minimal extras: ribbon and twine.
Karon - So the brief for the DT this week was to use three or more tags in our creations.  Do you think I went a bit overboard with 25 LOL! My advent calender is on a 12" by 16" canvas, all the papers and embellishments are from the new A Home for Christmas CD.  The Calender numbers are from the Studio 12 Picknix Collection 1 CD.  The first photo is the numbers and the second is them turned over all the way up to Christmas day and who better than Santa to be the last to turn over.  There are more close ups, of the tags,  on my blog.

Lidia Hi! Everyone and for this challenge I made 2 Christmas Tag Cards, some of the elements are in 3d the papers and the images are from Sundae Seasons CD-rom Collections So I hope you like it!

Sally - Hi, so this week our challenge was to make a Christmas Tag - Well mine is rather a large one!
I thought it would be nice to have tag with Santa's magic key on it.  I made a 5 x 7" tag with brown cardstock. Digi crafted on Serif my background and birdcage from Home for Christmas CD Rom and then printed it out. I bought a couple of keys from a Home Décor store where I live, and flitter flaked them added Santa's magic key to it. Printed out another Santa to decoupage it. Printed a sentiment and decoupaged the poinsettias and holly on it. Added a ribbon to hold the key and Voila!  All this was from the Home For Christmas CD Rom!
Zoe -  Well this week challenged my creativity until I looked at some Christmas photos from last year & then it seemed so simple. I'm no Scrapbooker but I do Smash Books, I have nearly every book there is, so I set about creating this page using the scrumptious Angelberry collection to document 3 of my favourite photos (they are under the tags!). I took the gorgeous papers & images into Serif Craft Artist and created a custom sized page. Once printed, I stuck it into my book, and added the 3 flip tags, and the Angel image I had already coloured. A tiny bit of colour coordinating twine finished it all off!
Claire C I've used 4 tags made from red cardstock stuck together to create a luminary and added 4 images coloured with Graph'It Markers. The images are from the fab Here Comes Christmas Cd.  The backing paper is from the same cd and I've added some snowflake vellum to the die cut apertures. I've popped a battery operated tea light in side and topped it some some scraps of ribbon and lace.
Miria  I made a minialbum with tag pockets using A home for Christmas cd for papers and stampies, tickets are from Picknic Collection 2 Gingerbread Twist  and Here comes Christmas  I just added some buttons and ribbon.

Closing date for the challenge is Sunday 17th November at 12noon GMT and don't forget to link your actual blog post so we can come and visit you!

Lucky 13, Denise!

Our Top 3 favourite entries are: 43 Elena, 44 Debbie, 16 Shell - well done everyone, pick your blinkies from the sidebar and Denise please email us here to claim your prize!

So, let's get on with what the wonderfully talented Design team have been up to this week, you have until Sunday 3rd November to enter!......

Alethea - My head has not been in crafting lately and wasn't too sure what to make for this challenge but remembered I had a spare door hanger lying around  so I decorated that. I have used everything from the Home For Christmas CD. I printed some elements off separate so that I could give the hanger a bit of dimension and I just added a bit of kindyglitz and rock candy stickles for some sparkle!

Asha - Did you know that the Home For Christmas CD collection makes gift giving breeze? No?! You've come to the right place. About a week before Christmas I leave large home made festive cookies on my colleagues' workstations and to house these delights I painstakingly make little boxes from scratch. Not this year! Look what I found in the CD! A cookie box template...actually there are 3 and I chose this vintage looking one. All you have to do is print, glue and dress. It even comes with a sheet of embellishment. Yay! Extras from my stash: bling and ribbon - that's all. Here's to a hassle free Christmas!

Karon - I decided to use the pre-coloured images on the fabulous Home for Christmas CD.  All the images including the lovely background scene are in this wonderful collection. I first printed out the scene and secured this to an 8" x 10" artist board.  I then printed the houses out and add some foam dots to give them depth on the background scene.  Santa's sleigh and Rudolph is attached to some acetate to make it stand freely away from the background. The trees and church were printed and cut and I added glitter to them; after all what's Christmas without glitter :-)
Jo - When I saw the title of the challenge this week, I knew immediately what I wanted to make! A Christmas wreath using papers, embellishments and images from the Home for Christmas CD... and I just love how it turned out. I don't have a wreath hanging outside the house, but I do like nice decorated ones hanging indoors. With the images, I have flipped them around to face each other, printed them out and cut them leaving a small white border around the edges to give definition. I added some glitter glue to finish.
Lidia I made a Christmas wreath with Studio 12 stamps so I hope you Like this idea that can help you to decorate the Christmas Tree....
Miria  I made a milk box : it was so easy following the template from cd Paper Boutique I !
Paper and coloured digis are from fab  Home for Christmas CD Rom , the tickets are from Picknix Collection 2 Gingerbread Twist....
Sally - This weeks challenge - has been great fun as I have been making all kinds of gifts for a Craft Fair that we are having on base.  I was fortunate to find some wooden trays in a cheap store which I thought I could alter.  So, I painted the tray white then used papers, embellishments and digi images from the Home for Christmas CD Rom to decorate the tray.  It is an ideal size for a Cookie Tray to leave out for Santa on Christmas Eve....

Rebekah - Hi everyone for this challenge I have made an altered tin using some fab papers and elements from the Home for Christmas CD. I love the brown and blue colour scheme and both the cute gingerbread topper and the cute vintage style ticket sentiments are also from the CD.
Zoe - For this challenge I decided to set myself a task of using the digi images from the amazing Home For Christmas CD  to create a wreath. I chose the fabulous Poinsettia and the super santa. I took both into Serif Craft Artist and digitally manipulated the images - flipping to face the opposite way & changing sizes - positioning them around a rough circular shape. Once happy I printed it off and coloured every single image with a mix of markers including some Graph It markers. I chose more contemporary colours to match my home decor and once coloured I attached a ribbon.
It's not my turn for the challenge at Polka Doodles this week but I wanted to join in as I'm loving working with the A Home for Christmas CD Collection so thought I'd gate crash and join in!
The challenge is to  make anything but a card, and here is my project. I cut out 3 tags in Kraft card and then printed some papers, embellishments and sentiments from the CD. I cut out three strips of papers for each tag and distressed the edges using distress ink. I glued the papers onto the tags and added some faux stitching with a white opaque pen. I then cut out all the embellishments and stuck them in place. I then used a distress ink on the sentiments and added them. I finished off the tags with some ribbon.

Claire C I've used some of the adorable images on Home for Christmas to create some Christmas Tree Decorations. I gave the images a coat of glossy accents and layered them up over one of the gorgeous polkadot backing papers and popped them on some die cut bauble shapes.

Hopefully the DT have inspired you to make your project for this weeks challenge and we cannot wait for you to share it with us.
