Let's see what the Design Team have created to get you inspired this week!...

Julie I had so much fun creating this Birthday Card. I wanted to create something pretty, with florals and touch of lace. I started with 2 digital papers from Rosebud collection, and added the lace pattern over the pattern to create a border on my card front in my editing program. Next I chose the greeting from Birthday Sentiments, I wanted it to sit pretty much in the mid section of the card —this sentiment worked perfectly and I really liked the font. I chose to add my florals from the Perfect Peony bundle, I added them to my digital workspace and moved them around, and overlapped them until I was happy with the arrangement. I printed 2 copies of this. On one copy I colored only the flower blossoms using Copic Markers- R22, R21, R20, then cut them out with scissors. On the 2nd copy I colored the leaves and stems -YG67, YG65, YG63. I used a random stencil to add some little dots in a coordinating ink color in 3 random places on the card front. Using foam tape I placed the cut out blossoms into place on the card front, this dimension absolutely made the flowers pop! I ink blended a piece of vellum paper in shades of green, and from it cut some leaves with a leaf die and tucked those in under the flower blossoms. I added sparkle to the florals using a glitter brush and added a few gems before attaching the card front to a card base. You really must try give this card a try, it is so beautiful in person. FYI: the florals on this card are actually more of a pink color - I’ll chalk it up to one of life’s many mysteries as to why my camera refused to capture that color. My Blog, Instagram, Facebook

Maria - Winter is slowly coming to an end, and with it comes the joy of fresh, soft colours that make us look forward to spring. I immediately picked up on this feeling in today’s project. For my mum’s birthday, I used the beautiful Timeless Rose craft paper – she loves pink, so it was simply perfect. To keep the design elegant and clean, I used lots of white. A delicate vellum wrap surrounds the card and features the gorgeous Celebrate sentiment along with the heart from the Heart Flourish die. When you open the card, a little surprise is revealed: a pop-up effect filled with the lovely images from the Birthday Celebrations set. I deliberately coloured the images using only Polychromos pencil no. 193 to achieve a very soft look, and added Glossy Accents for subtle shiny details. To finish off the card, I added hearts and tags from the Ribbon Tag Heart Dies and the Nested Heart Dies as well as lots of sparkling gems to bring everything together. I hope this card inspires you to start creating with fresh colours as we welcome spring. Here´s my Facebook & YouTube - hope you will follow!
Mary - I colored my Winnie with my Crayola Colored Pencils and fussy cut her out. For my card front, I used Helga Hippo paper. I also added some more pretty paper for fun and whimsy. I cut them both at 5 ½“x 4 ¼“ then sliced them both on the diagonal and used one piece from each piece of paper. I then grabbed some holographic washii tape from my stash and put that diagonally for some extra shine and interest. I cut two scalloped hearts out of a die I had in my stash, I cut one from this red stripe paper and the other from vellum with butterflies, also from my stash. I decided that my focal image needed to stand out more, so I cut a rectangle out of this lovely purple paper, placed her on foam and glued it down to the bottom right hand of the card. I then picked my sentiment and placed it on a speech bubble for a little more whimsy. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mom’s, grandma’s, and ladies who have had any hand in helping to raise people, animals, and anything!

Taty - Today I'm sharing my DT inspiration for my new Mom's Birthday/Party themed challenge, which requires the inclusion of vellum. I created a greeting card decorated with flowers from the Flower Meadow collection, which I colored with Prismacolor pencils. For the base of the card, I printed the pink checked pattern from the Coffee Tea and Cakecollection. On the front, I created an arched window using a die. I applied blue vellum with little hearts to the window, and on the inside of the card, I finished the window with blue striped digital paper from the Coffee Tea and Cake collection. This last paper in the collection is green, but the printer was running out of color ink, so the result was a light blue shaded with green. Naturally, to avoid wasting anything, I used it anyway. We creatives always find a solution, and I want to point this out because Polkadoodles digital papers are fantastic, with flawless printing results.
I embellished the card with butterfly die-cuts and a white Greek key at the base of the window to simulate a windowsill. The sentiment is glued to the inside, visible through the window, and is part of the same collection as the flowers.

Kim D - Hello! Kim here with a card to help celebrate Mom's special day. It can be for Mother's Day, her birthday or anything in between. I used this fun image of the Flower birthday cake.I think this image is perfect for any celebration. You can color it up to be either feminine or masculine.

🌟 Gorgeous Inspiration, big thanks to the team! 🌟
