Miniture wonders

Hi everyone, Its Dee here with today's post for Polkadoodles Studio 12 range.  I hope you are all looking forward to Christmas.  I have just roused myself into starting the shopping, I'm very late this year *slapped wristies*.  Anyway getting back on track I've made a real cute little wall plaque/tray/hanger/thingy! not really sure what to call it if I'm honest.  This was a little wooden box that had wooden embellishments in it, I've had it knocking round the work room for a couple of years now.  I always knew I would do something with it and inspiration hit yesterday so I hope you like it as much as I do.

I used a few different stamps from the studio 12 and Susan Weckesser studio 12 stamps.  I stamped them onto cream and clear shrink plastic with Stazon ink and coloured them in with Sakura Stardust and Kuratake's Wink Of Stella pens before shrinking them.  They are tiny and really very sweet.  I painted the box with mushroom and light blue acrylic paint then I used scraps of backing papers from the Studio 12 Collection 1 CD in each compartment.  I added a  few odds and ends from my stash to finish it off.

I thought I'd do a pic of it with a ruler so you can see just how small some of the elements are.

Enjoy the holiday season everyone, wherever you are.

Studio 12, Susan Weckesser Stamps

Hi, it's Lou today sharing my Studio 12 project with you and did you know that all the gorge Studio 12 stamps are back in stock over in the shop ..... so very happy as can finally share some of my projects with you all.

I have been dying to ink up the Studio 12 Susan Weckesser, "The purpose of Art" A6 stamp set for ages and had the perfect opportunity recently .... a new home card for my sons girlfriend ... married with the fab sentiment from "Home Sweet Home" A6 stamp set.

I have stamped the house on to a heart (hand drawn) and added the sentiment as a banner. I just had to add the ribbon roses as Luke's girlfriend is called Rosie ......

The background was made by painting with white and blue acyric paints and an added strip of green card along the bottom. The strip was then torn and the stamped image added. All have been coloured with distress inks. I cut out the sun and clouds and added them where they would appear on the image.

I have a great idea for this stamp as a focal point for a Christmas card, so watch this space .....

Life is much better when you're laughing

Hello all Dee here with today's Studio 12 project.  This is something I did quite some time ago now but I've been holding off till the stamps were back in stock.  Well they are now in stock at last so here is my colourful 12x12 canvas.  There's lots of layers of paint and ink and I used stamps and masks on the canvas to give an overall riot of colour.  These are not my usual colours it has to be said, I always feel far more at home with cool blues and purples, but I wanted this to be happy and to make you smile when you looked at it, hopefully I have achieved that.

All the stamps are Polkadoodles Studio 12 and Susan K Weckesser at Studio 12. I had so much fun making this so I hope you all like it.

Hello everyone it's Dee here with the post for today.  Before I show you today's make have you seen all the new stash on the Polkadoodles website, Nikky sure has been a busy little bee, both designing and tracking down some really lovely stuff.  There's new digi stamps, CD rom, Pan Pastels, Masks, 3D Chipboard kits, Dylusions sprays, Graph-it markers and printed PD paper packs. At last printed paper packs, yayy. Now there's something for every one there so check it out.

Back to my project and I have a little card made with Studio 12 and Susan Weckesser range of stamps and the Stamp Slab.  I love the quirky images and had such fun making this.  I used Distress inks on the slab, Scattered Straw, Wild Honey and Vintage Photo or Tea Dye, I cant quite remember which one now.
Well thats it from me today, someone form the Studio 12 design team will be back on thursday with another delish sample for you all.
