Wk 30 - Card making & paper craft challenge - Anything Goes creative craft challenge at Polkadoodles

Let's see the inspiration from the team - today we've been creating lots of lovely Mermaid and beachy inspiration for you!...       

Pam - Our challenge this week was Ocean or Mermaid and I've selected the Zodiac Pisces Fish for my Ocean scene. I love how they are elegantly drawn and have been anxious to work with them for a while. I made an underwater cave-like scene then added a glittery matting and a fishy paper from Polkadoodles Mermazing Ocean Craft Paper pack. Instead of a bow, I finished the card front with this unique brad that is a bottle with a heart - perfect for this fishy couple celebrating in the middle of the ocean!


Nunzia: It's too hot to stay at home, so these adorable rabbits of Sail Away with Me are taking a romantic boat rider during sunset. The scene is glued on a background made with some strips of paper taken from Just Lovely - Honeypie printable bundle and squares blended with distress oxide. The sentiment is part of Love Always printable Sentiments big bundle.

Rachael - Hi everyone - Happy Crafturday! I have made a card today using one of my all-time favourite Winnie mermaid digi stamp called octopus kisses. I printed the image and coloured firstly, with alcohol markers for the base colour, but then I used pencils over the top to get deeper shading and more detail/texture. I coloured it in a combination of lilacs and turquoise for an underwater scene that looks like it would be so cute to be part of!

Wendy - Hi everyone! How adorable is Winnie Mermaid Mermazing - Octopus Kisses! She's part of the Winnie Mermaid Mermazing bundle. Winnie is one of my all time favorites, and as a mermaid, she's so much fun! I drew some kelp and coral to give this already fabulous image a simple background, and colored it with my Copic markers.

Irre: Hello! Today I'm sharing an art journal page in my envelope journal. I used the digital stamp May your wishes come true from the Winnie Celebration 1, which I colored with Copics. For the background in my journal, I used modeling paste, cheesecloth, ink sprays, and some punched-out stars. Finally, I added a sentiment from the sparkle unicorn sentiment set.

Judy: It's Christmas in July for the DT here this week! Have you started your Christmas cards for this year? My card is a rocker style using All Wrapped Up Theo Penguin. The card base was die cut and layered with glitter card stocker a snowy background. I also die cut a couple of trees using the Layering Trees die cut set and added some glitter glue and flocking to replicate snow. Theo's "Happy Holidays" sentiment is from the Theo Penguin Greetings/Sentiments Bundle.


Renske - Hello everyone. It's already time for Christmas in July. We as a design team were given this as our theme. For this card I chose the cute stamp Bauble Decoration - Elvis Wesley Moose. I coloured the stamp with my alcohol markers. Still, I went for the traditional Christmas colours again. To match the colours of the digital stamp, I chose the red and white striped patterned paper from the set of Elvis Wesley Moose themed papers. To complete the card, I chose the text 'It's the moose wonderful time of the year' from the Elvis Wesley Moose themed sentiments. I hope you like it. Happy crafting!

Natalia - We are slowly preparing again for Christmas, although summer is with us now. So today we have holidays in July. I've made two small tags with penguins. They were colored with water markers, and I used Distress Inks for the background. Very simple to make. They will look beautiful as Christmas tree decorations, or we can decorate our gifts with them.

Enrica - Hello everyone! We are celebrating Christmas in July and for my card I choose the cute Decorating the Tree - Gingerbread Holly digital stamp.I created a brick wall and colored it with Copic, then added some embellishments from the old Baked With Love Gingerbread bundle digital kit. I really love these cute Gingerbreads, who knows if this card will be just the first of a long series!

Sabina - How about Christmas in the middle of the year? I combined precolored Carol Singing Elvis Wesley Moose digi stamp with Winnie Christmas Wishes and Winnie Winterland papers and Elvis Wesley Moose sentiments.

Sonja - Since Florida is a warm state, the temperatures are usually quite mild, often still warm enough to engage in outdoor activities. This means that traditional Christmas activities like building snowmen or sledding are unlikely. Instead, you may be able to enjoy beach walks or take part in one of the many Christmas parades or markets that take place in Florida. There are also plenty of festive light displays and decorations to admire. Overall, Christmas in Florida offers a unique experience characterized by the warm weather and relaxed atmosphere almost as if you celebrate Christmas in July here in Germany. That's why my Snowball Tree Theo Penguin is building his christmas Tree out of sand instead of snow an the dome has sand in it. As contrast I used the paper from Theo Penguin paper bundle 1 with the beautiful sentiment from Theo Penguin - GREETINGS/SENTIMENTS - Merry Christmas in July!

Wk 28 - Card making & craft challenge - Anything Goes creative craft challenge at Polkadoodles

Merja - On my card I used amazing Winnie Starfish/Sandcastles Float Away image and coloured it with alcohol markers. Then I just fussy cut it and added a sentiment with Hello Sunshine Clear Stamp Set.




Pam ~ For my shaped card, I've selected 'Milkshake Drink Rebel' with the Beach Kiosk background. She's staying cool and beating the heat with all the ice cream and milkshakes she wants! I love the fun shaped that this project turned out to be!



Rachael - Hi everyone. We have a DT challenge each week set by Nikky but this week I also challenged myself to use some of the smaller ephemera images from the collections. These bottles are from the Gnome Motorcycle tattoo bundle and I used my graphics program to increase them in size to fit a 6x4 envelope. Printed them off then fussy cut around the images with two pieces of card. I scored the back piece and attached them together so the card could stand up. My father-in-law loved it as his father's day card! Think creatively about everything in the bundles not just the main image!




Nunzia: It's time for an ice-cream and Winnie is offering one to you. I colored her with alcohol markers and glued her onto a shaped card made with a flower included in Sunshine delights embellishments-bundle. The sentiment is part of Love always sentiments bundle.



Wendy - Hi everyone! It's time to beat the heat over at Polkadoodles. In my neck of the woods, we're in the extreme heat of summer. What better way to cool off than getting some ice cream! I used the Ice Cream Kiosk to make a fun shaped card and used pop dots to layer the adorable Winnie Ice Cream Days on top. Both of these are part of one of my favorite Polkadoodles bundles Winnie Starfish & Sandcastles VIP bundle. It's so much fun to color. Thank you for looking!!



Irre - Hello!
Today I'm sharing a new art journal page for Polkadoodles. For this project, I used one of the Octavia stamps called Fairy bird in the hand. I colored the stamp with Copics. For the background I used a stencil, some stamps, and Distress ink. Finally, I added titles from Winnie Daisy greetings, quotes and sentiments.

Renske - Hello everyone! This time we were asked to make something with the theme "Just Because". And this cute Bella Bear Bee Costumefits perfectly in this theme. She is so cute. I colored her with my alcohol markers. For the background I used a digital paper from the set "Spring Gnomes-printable papers". From the same set, I used another pattern paper. I used the pattern with the white flowers. I cut these out and coloured them in with my alcohol markers. The sentiment "Just because" comes from the set Winnie Daisy Greetings. I changed the sentiment a bit and made it Just Bee Cause...… I hope you like it. Happy crafting.

Judy: My DT project this week is a card with a "Just Because" theme. I used Natures Beauty as my focal image, colored with prismacolor Pencils. She is popped with foam tape onto a die cut and layered background. The patterned paper behind the die cuts is from Spring into Easter Digital Paper Patterns Set 3. I used a sentiment from the Watercolor Flower Stem Download.



Natalia - Hello everyone! This time I have a very timely card for you , just because it's summer and we love to relax, especially on the beach. For my card, I used the Winnie Starfish & Sandcastle collection which is great for holiday cards. Hope you like it :)


Enrica - Hello crafty friends!
For my DT card I’ve created a cute summer scene using the gorgeous Pirate Little Dude digital stamp, colored with Copic.
The striped paper is from the Bob the Dog in a Boat set and the sentiment is from the Winnie Daisy Greetings.
Hope you like it, have a wonderful weekend!

Sabina - For this weeks challenge I made a card where I used the scraps of papers from bundles - Happy Cactus Succulent printable paper patterns 1, Happy Cactus Succulent printable paper patterns 2 and Distress ink papers plain - Lil Miss Sugarpops Kit 1 & Kit 2, cut them into centimeter wide strips and glued them on the white cardstock. The Gil Rabbit Growing Sunflowersstamp is colored with alcohol markers and the sentiment is from the Winnie Daisy greetings, quotes and sentiments bundle.


Sonja - just because ....it's a good opportunity to invite a very old friend to meet again I made this card with Sunshine Delight Little Friends I love the color of that blue paper from Gnome Men Dad/Father - printable paper patterns. The sentiment is from Lets Hang Out - 37 Sentiments Bundl - Time to meet old friends again - happy crafting!
