Wk 39 Anything Goes Craft & Card Making Challenge

Did you catch us on Hochanda TV this week? If not make sure you check out the website for all our new products in stock this week, including our newest Christmas collections, Halloween releases and much more - we have a TON of new items in stock including the Crackling Campfire release from Tim Holtz!

So let's see what the Design Team have been up to this week! We asked the team to make spooky Halloween themed projects - they nailed it!!...

Sheri...For my card today, I chose to play with this darling image from Polkadoodles, Winnie Wednesday Skull. Polkadoodles has THE MOST adorable Halloween images. They are fun and quirky and I just love them so much! My papers are a combination of papers, also from Polkadoodles, including paper from the Halloween/Autumn Paper Haven Collections 1 and 2.
Papers....

Jane T...I started by inking through the Distressed Trellis stencil with oxide inks to create the left hand panel. Next I used the Winnie Wednesday Witch & Cat digi and coloured it up with Copic pens and Miya oil pencils. I cut the image out by hand and popped it up onto foam pads for added dimension.
Melissa - I don't usually do Halloween cards as it is not a big thing here in Australia, so this is a little out of my comfort zone. For this card, I have printed 'Winnie Wednesday Witch' onto Copic card and coloured her with Copic Markers. The background has been created using Alcohol ink onto black yupo and a birch tree die has been adhered to the top.

Merja ... I just love Halloween but sadly it's not a big thing here in Finland. But I don't care - I still do some Halloween cards... for myself! At this card I used Amelia witch digi stamp and coloured it with alcohol markers. The background papers and Happy Halloween text is from Halloween/Autumn Paper Heaven 2 set.
Sybil...For my Halloween card I copic colored the cute Spooky Mummy digi. He is just too cute trying to be spooky when he is actually more adorable than scary! A big BOO to all of you!
Nelly : Happy Friday! ...and time for another Polkadoodles challenge!! the team theme was "halloween" so i know i say this every year but its my least favourite time, i just hate Ghosties and Ghoulies or anything remotely scary! with this is mind i coloured up some softer images using the HEY PUMPKIN! clear stamp set . :-)
Ruth: The DT were challenged to create something Halloween but I don't particularly like or celebrate Halloween so I went for autumn colours and theme. I've used two papers from the lovely Butterfly Daisy 6x6 paper pack and just inked the edges a little more. I used the Posydoodles Basics Ovals die to cut the vellum out behind the image plus from the offcuts of the vellum I've added some Butterflies and used some half pearls from my stash. Oddella Bow has been coloured with Promarkers...

WOW! Fabulous projects from the team this week, we hope we've inspired you all again : )

Week 38 Anything Goes Craft & Card Making Challenge

Did you catch us on Hochanda TV last weekend? If not make sure you check out the website for all our new products in stock this week, including our newest Christmas collections!

The good news is - we're back next week with another great release!....

So let's see what the Design Team have been up to this week! We asked the team to make Autumn themed projects - the results are lovely!...

Lisa - Autumn is creeping in and this week I have made a card inspired by the colours of the season. I used one of my all time favourite paper packs, the In Love with Autumn 6x6 Paper Pack and teamed it with one of the fabulous January images, Nature Lover. The little leaves and toadstools on the image are so cute. I added some texture with die cuts, cut from self adhesive wood veneer, and even added some beautiful leaves. I found the leaves in my garden and pressed/dried them a big old book before adding them to the card.

Judy: I've created an autumn inspired card for this week. I used the Beary Great Day Stamp Set from the Great Outdoors/Critters Cardmaking Collection and a digi paper from Prickly Little Dude Download. I  added pine needles from my yard for a natural embellishment.

Rene...Fall is my absolute favorite time of year! This lovely Winnie seems to be celebrating as well!

Janet This card uses my favourite autumn colours using Piper  coloured with pencils.
Dawn -  I'm super excited to be sharing with you my Autumn card. I used a few images from the Autumn/Fall digital stamps collection from Polkadoodles. I also used some digital papers from Halloween/Autumn Paper Heaven 1 and 2.

Wendy I used this Winter Deer for this nature scene inside a jar. The image was colored with water color paints. It was then glued to a piece of paper from the Octavia Moonfly Paperholic Set (backsides matching). This was done so that if you look in the back of the jar, you will see the design paper. When dry, cut around the design. A small tab was also made using the design paper and stuck between the layers for a prop. The sentiment is from Winnie Special Moments QuotesThe rocks, feathers, twigs and pinecone were all nature's treasures I picked up during my daily walk.
Kim here with today's card. I used the adorable Tandem ride which I colored with my copics.
I also added tree scene which I thought looked like a fall tree losing its leaves. to which I added some live moss to make it more realistic. The background paper is from Winnie sugar sprinkles it is like a swiss dot that can be used for so many things, I love it.  Finally the sentiment is from Winnie Celebrations 1.
Fabulous projects from the team this week, we hope we've inspired you all again : )

Week 37 Anything Goes Craft & Card Making Challenge

So let's see what the Design Team have been up to this week! We asked the team to make a Christmas project - the results are lovely!...

Ruth:  I've used the fab Gnome-men Snow Ho Ho clear acrylic stamps and used Promarkers to colour.  To keep it all nice and simple and with a clean look, I cut the image and then layered it using the Posydoodles Basics Square dies and a tag from Posydoodles Basics Tags die.  The wooden red star I've had in my stash for probably a decade and too the bakers twine!  Lightly embossed a line around the edge of the card and its done!

This week's team challenge was " anything goes Christmas"  so in my excitement i chose to create a 3d lamp post project that was just screaming for carol singers and what better way to bring in Twiggy and Toots from Polkadoodles! you can find the image in the Cd collection  HERE! Twiggy and Toots festive fun
Ann-Marie
Jane - For my Christmas card I chose two papers from the Wintertime pack and layered them up with some white and red card. I used the largest of the Posydoodles Rectangles dies for the top layer. I coloured the Robin Christmas Stocking digi in colours to match the papers. I printed this digi a second time and snipped off the holly to add to the bottom left of the card.

Sybil - I love creating Christmas cards, especially with with non-traditional colors! I copic colored the beautiful "Fairy Gifts" Winnie and added die cuts from the gorgeous Poinsettia Lace dies that I colored in a soft pink. The "Peace and Joy" sentiment is a free digi. Of course I had to add some bling and sparkle because as we know a fairy always sparkles wherever she goes!

Melissa - I decided to to a Clean & Simple card for this weeks challenge.
I have used the 'Christmas Robin with Stocking' digital stamp and have coloured it with Copic Markers. I have accented the image with Glossy Accents and Glitter. The border was Hand Drawn.
Have a great day xxx
Sheri - For today's challenge, I used the sweet image, Hot Chocolate and Mistletoe. I love her sweet little shop, filled with all sorts of yummy goodies. The papers are from Winnie White Christmas Printable Papers 1.
Merja - I usually start doing Christmas cards way too late, but this year I have started surprisingly early. Yay!
For this card I used Winnie All Wrapped Up digi stamp and coloured it with alcohol markers. The frame around Winnie is made with Stitched & Pierced Circles cutting dies.
The background paper I did using text editor and Winnie White Christmas Foliage set - and then just printed it. Such a great way to use this foliage set!
Fabulous projects from the team this week, we hope we've inspired you all again : )

The papers are from Halloween Trick or Treat Bundles 12 and 3.

Lisa - We don't get many Trick or Treaters at Halloween so I made a little Milk Carton Treat Box that would hold some bigger treats. I have used Winnie Wednesday Witch and Car Digi Stamp, coloured her with alcohol markers and paired her with Trick or Treat Papers
Dawn - I'm super excited to be sharing with you my Halloween Treat Box. I used an image called  "Winnie Wednesday Pumpkin from Polkadoodles. I also used some digital papers from Halloween Trick or Treat papers 2.
Kim here with this little Halloween treat bag! I colored Winnie up and fussy cut her out. I used these awesome digital Halloween papers which I layered then attached to a cellophane bag. Add candy and you are done! How fast is that?
WendyI used Winnie Wednesday Skull for this altered wooden gift box. The two papers are from the free Lou the Teacher set. The tag is from the Winnie Sugar Sprinkles Tags Bundle and the sentiment is from Winnie Special Moments.
JanetI've made a bag from card and decorated it with Boo from the Horace and Boo collection coloured with pencils. The background paper is from Boo and Horace paper heaven 2 and highlighted with distress ink.
ReneHalloween is my FAVORITE holiday! I love everything about it...especially the candy tax on what my girls bring home! We took them to Universal Studios a few years ago to see the magic of Harry Potter so of course I had to use this Wizardy Magic Little Dude for my gift bag.
Fabulous projects from the team this week, we hope we've inspired you all again : )
