Karon - Hmmm For the Boys eh!  I couldn't resist using a lovely pre-coloured scene from one of the envelopes in the Cherryblossom Lane collection.  I added some fencing and coloured the river with a grey pencil - to change it to a road :-)  Then added Horace as he is out for a country walk :-)

I have a second card to share with you this week - I have used the new release Winnie in Wonderland.  I love this rabbit!  Everything you see is from this collection and I have added layers to add dimension to the card.

Alysha - Well I will be kicking off my first challenge as a newbie DT with Polkadoodles with this lovely masculine card, I just love his cheeky demeanor and I have to say his little doggie is pretty darn cute too!  This card was created using the Pretty Tuff CD from Polkadoodles.  I hope you like my DT card for this challenge and will come on over to Polkadoodles Challenge Blog  and join in the fun with us, hugs Aly xx

Scatty Jan - Something a little different for me this week , Stamping!! After all these years of saying I couldn't stamp - I followed all the Underlay sheets on Summertime . I now adore stamping so much!
I used stamps from both the new collections for my little scene Summertime and Daisydays I used the stamps to make the fishing rod, fish , fish hook, bubbles and trees and also the sentiment. Trees and grass were coloured in watercolours, The sky was done in pastels and the water using Graph'It Markers along with mix it fluid and a dish cloth .

My second card this week I used the lovely beach hut digi from Summertime and coloured using Graph'It Markers - for the sky and sand I used pastels. The shell and the boat were made using a couple of leaf stamps from the stamps from Daisydays.

Carol - for my inspiration this week I have used some of the lovely pre-coloured elements from the Sticks and Bones collection to make a quick birthday card.

Fabulous inspiration by the Design Team.

Now lets take a look at the fabulous creations from our Design Team.

NazThe stamp I have used for this card is from TWIGGY AND TOOTS collection.
I coloured the image with Copics and cut it out. Owl's party hat, balloons and the banner as well as the happy birthday sentiment are all from Polkadoodles Cherryblossom Lane
For the word DAD I used Kaisercraft Decorative Dies - Block Words.
I used some Wink of Stella glitter clear pen on the balloons, the hat and and the banner.
To finish off my card, I added few pearls for embellishment.
Claire C  I had a lovely evening colouring one of the gorgeous images from Twiggy and Toots with my Graph'It Markers. I adore this collection, you can find it here on CD or here as a download or if you prefer you can get the digi on its own too, its called Gone Fishing. I've added lots of lovely papers and embellies from the collection and as always Nikky has come up with a fabulous selection of sentiments too

Jenny - I have used an older collection for my card, I decided on a card for my friends grandson. I used one of the boys from the Pretty Tuff collection.  He isn't easily pleased and doesn't like too much fuss so hopefully he'll like this.

Wendy - So for my Fathers Day card, I've used elements from Work and Play 3, available as a CD rom or downloadable here. Both backing papers are from the Male Caravan section, with the check paper having been re-coloured in Craft Artist. The sentiment is also from this collection and I suspect originally susposed to match with the Doctors in the collection, but fits perfectly with my theme. The image is also available as a digi for you to colour here.

AnjieI have used the Skateborder image from the Work and Play 11 collection. The image is also available on it's own HERE. I have coloured him with my Prisma pencils. All the papers, embellies and borders are also from the same collection.

Anita - Hi there everyone today for my Fathers day / male make I have used the postman and co- ordinating papers from the Work and Play 4 Collection  , He is also available on his own Here, I have not coloured him this time round I used the pre coloured version it prints out a dream.

Naz -  The image I have used here is the Bride/Princess Color digi from the Work & Play Collection 9 - Love & Kisses - I have added some glitter accent and a pearl to the image for embellishment. All the papers I've used on this card are from the same collection. I've used some distress ink on the edges of the papers.I have finished off the card with a sentiment and a heart banner.

Jenny - I've used the pretty collection Cherry Blossom Lane for my card this week. We all use dies quite a lot so for this card I decided to go back to a bit of decoupage.  My die is a Tattered Lace one and is very useful. I hope you can come on over for a visit to see what I did to make this.
Ruth:  This was a special Birthday card for a Manchester City mad lady - I used the Work and Play Footballer Girl digi stamp and coloured her up with Promarkers.  The die used is the grass Sizzix die and I hand wrote the Birthday flag.

Anjie - The image and papers are from the Work and Play 6 CD. This is also available as a download HERE. Or you can just buy the Landlord digi image HERE. I've coloured him with my Graph'It Markers. I have used a Spellbinders die to cut the image out, a Marianne die for the clock and a Tattered Lace die for the bottle and the sentiment.
Bev here and his fortnight I've made a card is for my neighbour. Pretty Tuff is a fab resource for male cards. I used pencils to colour in Dylan, The papers and sentiment are all from the CD. The hb2u lettering is from another fab CD Cherryblossom Lane but coloured in with Graph'its to change the colour.
Susan ~ Happy Friday everyone and believe it or not I have used a die, but most of it is covered with embellishments. I have used the Stunning Eden  collection yet againI have used Graph'it Markers and Pencils to colour her.
Anita ~ Hello there today I brought to you paper from the sugarplum daisy collection and flowers from sundae of seasons and used the gorgeous piper with bunches and yes I used 1 die and coloured with alcohol markers.

Ria: For my card I used the Work and Play 8 collection Music. I coloured guitar girl with alcohol markers and enhanced her skin with pencils. The white dots are made with a white Molotow marker. The 2 red star dies are not from this collection everything else on my card is from the Music collection.
Claire C I've used lots of papers, embellies, flowers and butterflies from the gorgeous Octavia Moonfly collection (which you can get as a download here or on CD here). There are so many goodies in this collection I went into a bit of a printing frenzy so I didn't need to add much else, just a little lace and some die cut flourishes.
Jane: I have used "Amelia Contemplating" image from the Pretty Sweet collection (which is available as a digi download). Papers are from the Pretty Sweet CD. I have added a window die cut as my embellishment.
Wendy -  I've made a notelet set for this challenge. Inside the box are 4 mini cards, which have all been printed directly onto with colour co-ordinating papers from the Rose Budd Collection. The images on each notelet are pre-coloured and from the same collection, however each can be bought as an individual stamp aswell. here  Miss Rose, Miss ConstanceMiss Harriet & Miss Hetty.

Week 44 - Recycle It - Polkadoodles Challenge

Happy Friday Everyone!
Before we get to the challenge we have a brand new release here this week and it's fabulous as ever...
Welcome to Work & Play 7!! You can order this here now:

Today we start a brand new challenge
Recycle It!
You can Recycle anything you wish - and this can be something as simple as reusing a bit of ribbon!
You have until Friday 14th November  noon GMT to enter. Just please follow the rules in the sidebar. You don't have to use our products to enter!
THE WINNER OF THIS CHALLENGE WILL RECEIVE A COPY OF THIS BRAND NEW COLLECTION WHICH IS WORTH £11.99!

Soooo let's see what the team have created for us...

Katie - So what have we all to recycle and update. I have used an old Pen and note holder peg that looked like this

So I used Pretty Tuff CD ROM to make this organiser for a boys desk. Here is the finished project. I cannot wait to see what you all come up with. Have fun and Keeeeeeeeeeeep Crafting Katie DT xx

Sandie - Wow what a challenge!  For my Recycle It make I used an old photo frame, and used the old fashioned decoupage technique to make a Christmas Count Down Chalk Board!  I used the glorious paper from Festive Hollybobs collection (available as a CD or as a complete digi download collection!) and then I added some of the gorgeous embellishments from the collection too.  I really hope you enjoy my project and if you click on my name and hop over to my blog I have added the full details of how I made it :D  Happy Crafting, Sandie xxx

Anjie -  I've done a few of those word picture for people lately and I take the mount out as I don't use it. So I have a few of these mounts and so thought I would use one of those.
I started by going around the outside with a black marker and then adding a piece of pink card. I then printed out some papers from the Pretty Sweet CD and used the pink one on the mount and the blue one to cut a border and place on the mount. I then coloured in the sweet Amelia Braids image using my Graph'It Markers. I cut out a fence from a Marriane die to sit Amelia on, and the bird house and bird. More details on my blog

Yvonne -Well I was a but stumped for this challenge but my lovely fellow teamies reminded me that I didn't need to overthink this theme. I had a rummage through a few drawers and in my bedside cabinet I found this.
I have no idea what it is or where I got it from, but I thought to myself, I can use this, I'm going to call it gauze ribbon.  I didn't want to make a card for this, so I decided to dig out the tissue paper and make a candle. I simply printed the coloured image from 'Work & Play; Festiv Hollibobs' which is available as a CD-Rom, a digi download collection. If you like the image, she is available as a single digi image or as a rubber stamp.  Once printed onto tissue paper, I cut round the image, laid it onto the candle, wrapped some greaseproof paper round it and used my heat gun.  I then wrapped my found ribbon round the candle and then overlaid some satin red ribbon on top.  I quickly cut a ponsietta out, sprayed it with glitter spray and glued it on.
...and then I found out what it was - it is May Arts Web ribbon from Polkadoodles HERE!! LOL!

Susan - I just could'nt think what to recycle ! anyway I found a tub of yummy Orange biscuits so I made a cup-pa  sat down and ate the lot and this is what I was left with and now the fun begins ...!
I used papers and embellishments from the Festive Hollybobs CD (now available as a download) and the adorable button embellishments and tiny pompom trim are fromThe Polkadoodles Shop.  This is the end product and lots more close-up pictures on my blog....
Sue: This weeks challenge is recycle. I chose to recycle a book as I have always wanted to try one of these. I took an old book and folded all the pages in half then I cover the cover with backing papers  and distressed the. I then decorated it with flowers and tags  and a bow all using the papers from       Winston  and then I added Etty Bear from same cd....

Bev here with my recycled project I picked up an el cheapo clock and gave it a Polkadoodles makeover.....Before....

.....I coloured a digi of Piper with my Graph'it Markers to make the clock face. Details on my blog
I used my distress inks on the edges of all papers & doilies and cut different sizes to add interest to the clock frame. The papers and flowers are from the oh so versatile Winston CD Rom its also available as a digital download HERE

After.....

I think it's certainly brightened up an otherwise rather dull and boring looking clock. I can't wait to see what you all come up with this fortnight.

Jenny here with my project for this recycled challenge. I have used one of the famous IKEA mirrors and made it into a Christmas mirror for my friends granddaughter.
I have used the Festive Hollybobs for the project with one of Nikky's chalkboard stamps. I printed out the backing papers and covered the frame with them. I was going to include the Santa digi  but after getting this far decided he wasn't really needed.  The snow is done with a coarse texture gel and sprinkled with glitter but it doesn't show in the picture, there are more details on my blog.

Frezja - Hi all Kasia here :) Recycling is my middle name so I'm happy and I will show you my mini album made from toilet paper rolls.... :)
Nothing throws ahahah :) Tutorial on how to do this mini can be found on my blog here.
I have used lovely paper from Winston CD :) and the roses from Rose Budd CD
Have a nice day all, :)
