Julie - This week I had some geometric fun with a cute little Winston Bear image - Best Friends. I created a backdrop of 1/2 inch paper strips printed from Lily Ladybug Papers 2 and placed them diagonally across a card front. I printed the sentiment from Love Bird Greetings and cut it out in a trapezoid shape. Cutting an additional trapezoid and matting them both with a citrus green cardstock. After adding a touch of black splatter these sections were added with foam tape to the card front. I colored the adorable bear image and added it with a few citrus colored dots. Complete measurements, marker colors and other details can be found on my Blog. My Instagram & Facebook
Maria - Our new Geometric challenge is live, and this time we’d love to see three different patterned papers on your project.
With the new year in full swing, I’m all about using up my paper scraps, so this card was created entirely from leftover designer paper. I glued my scraps onto a long strip, die-cut four squares, and popped them up with foam pads on a clean white card base for a simple geometric layout. To turn it into a birthday card, I added one of the cute gnomes from the Christmas Fishes set. I used masking so the gnome could stand alone, and included the little presents from the same set. I coloured everything with Stampin’ Blends in the following shades: Light & Dark Seaside Spray, Cinnamon Cider, Dark Starry Sky, Light Misty Moonlight, Dark Bermuda Bay, and Light Pumpkin Pie. For the highlights, I used the Stampin’ Writer in Primrose Petal and a Signo gel pen. The background was stamped with the mini stamps from the Snowball Kisses set. To finish the card, I added some playful polka dots and a sentiment — and just like that, a lovely birthday greeting is ready to be sent. Here´s my social media: Insta; FB; YouTube
Taty - Today I'm sharing my DT inspiration, created by inserting geometric elements and three different types of paper to create a delicate slimline card. The patterns are created using the wonderful Polkadoodles digital paper collections; two patterns are from the Coffee Tea and Cake paper patterns bundle, and one pattern is from the Flower Meadow Papers collection. I printed the patterns and then cut three hexagons with the dies. On each hexagon, I stamped the flowers from the Every Wish PD7698 with the clear stamp and black embossing powder, for a raised, glossy finish. The sentiment, also from the Every Wish , is stamped using the same technique as the flowers, but with lilac embossing powder. The card base is created with the pink plaid pattern from the Flower Meadow Papersbundle. The background is made with white cardstock and the hexagon folder, on which I blended the pink and blue using Broken China and Worn Lipstick distress oxide.
Kim D- Hi Kim here! Jumping ahead to spring, getting ready for those graduations that will be here in no time. Today I used this adorable guy Cute boy with spectacles. I colored him up with my copics and placed him in front of this graduation ephemera and done!
Kerri - Today I have created this card using a Digital Image called Mabel Hot Chocolate Christmas and Love You a Latte Die. The image was stamped onto Kraft Card Stock and colored with Faber Castell Polychromo Pencils. I stamped out three of the Love You a Latte glue them together for strength and dimension. The Pattern Paper you see is Digital as well called Paper Heaven Horace & Boo. I matted my Pattern Paper mounted it on my card base. The die cut Love You a Latte (should be three of them) glued those together I used a few other die cuts adhered everything together and BOOM a card was born
