Week 31 Challenge - CASE It

Welcome to another Friday and another Polkadoodle challenge! Before we get started I'd like to announce some additions to the Design Team! Big drum roll....... So please give a big warm welcome to:

If you click on their names you will be taken to their blogs - so please stop by and say hello! They will be joining in with the challenges over the coming weeks and you will of course see their samples when Nikky is on Create and Craft.

Lou is our hostess this week and has set the challenge of CASE it! Each of the Design Team have picked a card that has been blogged and have re-recreated the style, colour or theme. So our challenge to you is to CASE one of the Polkadoodle Design Team cards - it can be any that have been blogged here on the challenge site but please tell us who and what you have CASED!

The top three from challenge 29 which was Christmas in July are:

First Place: Jo Price
Second Place: Tracy McDonald
Third Place: Deanne

Congratulations! Please email Nikky for your blinkies! The first placed winner receives a download and please put in the subject field of your email your placing and the challenge number - this will make Nikky's life a lot easier!

The Polkadoodlers have a few little rules which makes our life a lot easier when we come visiting your blogs:

1. Please follow the challenge!
2. Only enter your creation into a maximum of 10 challenges including Polka Doodles.
3. Please link your blog post and not your blog address with the blue frog - this saves us from searching your blog for your entry.
4. And please no back-linking to previous posts - these will be disregarded from our top three voting.
5. If you have comment moderation and word verification on your blog it really does slow us down when leaving comments - please consider turning word verification off especially now that comment moderation has a spam section.

Now onto the Design Team samples and inspiration! If you want more detail on how their projects have been created, just click on their name and you'll be taken to their blog. Closing date for the challenge is Sunday 14 August at 12noon GMT.

Enfys: I really loved the idea of Colette's card, and used that very loosely as my inspiration.

Colette's fabulous helicopter rocker card............
I had never thought of making a 'rocker'. I used my Cricut to cut the base card (Elegant Edges cartridge) and the cuddly hippo from the Paper Boutique 1 CD. I added plenty of Card Candi to the scallops

Audrey... For this card I CASED Fliss. I love the layout and the colors she used. I used the Sundae Of Seasons CD. I did some stitching around the edges of the fruits and inked the edges of all the papers. The buttons are from my stash.

Claire I really loved the format of D'Anne's card and all the elements. So I cased it using elements from the Double Sprinkle of Kraft cd. There are easy instructions along with the papers to create the medallion backing. Image coloured with promarkers, added die cut flourishes and some wooden buttons.

Fliss: I really love the soft colours and all the beautiful textures in this gorgeous card by Lou which really caught my eye a few weeks ago. I've used some different embossing folders and some more inking combined with some pretty paper and a scalloped border from the A Double Sprinkle Of Kraft CD together with the butterfly from the Gracie Flutterby Fairy stamp set. My sentiment is from the Sensational Sentiments stamp set.

Lis-m ... well, I guess Claire and I fell in love with D'Anne's great card.. I just love this.. great minds think alike!! I have used the Magical winter cd , I had to use this fab Santa , I think he is one of my favourites.. so sweet !! The papers are from the red and the kraft section on the cd .. I printed the banner paper onto copy paper to make it easy to fold.. I punched it with a Martha Stewart punch to give it a frilly finish..Plenty of glue gel to hold the finished rosette in place...

Colette - I love the simplicity of this card by Ruth, it's not too fussy or overdone, just clean and classy, not something I'm good at, so thought this might give me the chance to give it a go, think I failed though LOL!

Colette's version
I loved the look of the Kraft card, but don't have any, I did have lots of brown parcel paper though, so I used a Go Kreate die to cut the scalloped square from that. The country cottage image and sentiment panel are from Paper Boutique Vol III, and I used my Tim Holtz tattered florals die to make the rose.

Ruth: I've not 'cased' a particular card that Claire has made, more her actual style! I found this Happy Birthday flower digi stamp amongst my files that is actually one of Claire's drawings and I've coloured it with Aquamarkers. I've used papers from the Wonderland cd plus some doodling in Claire's unique style!

Josie: This was a hard challenge, because how can I possibly choose from all the amazing projects that the PD girls do! But in the end I chose Nikky's card. It's perfect as I needed to do a new home card and so I chose the same house and lay out that Nikky had done originally. I used the Neighbours Rubber Stamps and coloured with Pro Markers.
