So, let's see the inspiration from the team for this week - we've been creating lots of gorgeous projects to inspire you for Mother's Day which is coming up in March...
Merja - I did something different this time - no colouring at all, OMG! 😊 I decided to try my ScanNCut to create this cute memory box. First I printed 2 beautiful yellowish red papers from Spring into Easter papers set 1 & set 2. Because I wanted the inside part of the box to also have some beautiful patterns I also printed a green paper from set 1 to the other side of the red papers. I also printed blue paper from Spring into Easter papers set 3 (same print for both sides of the printing paper) to cut the index cards from. The printing paper needs to be quite thick so that the box is sturdy enough - the paper I used was 250gsm and it's quite good (but could also be thicker). Then I did some magic with the Recipe Box Svg Print & Cut Template svg files and cut the box parts from the papers I just printed. I did some folding and gluing and assembled the box. Lastly I added some pre-coloured images to embellish the box a little - I used Tropical Sorbet Craft Set (alphabets), Lily Bug Ladybird Frames, Teacup Lily Ladybug pre-coloured, Lovebird Letter pre-coloured, Bob the Dog in a Boat craft bundle, Surprise Gift Winnie pre-coloured and Bella Bear Morning Coffee craft bundle. So the box is now done, just need to add the memories inside. But that's a case for another day 😊
Carrianne - Hello everyone! Today, I’m excited to share a beautiful floral card featuring the Perfect Peony digital image. Our theme this week was Mother’s Day, and since my mom absolutely loves peonies, this card will definitely bring a smile to her face! I paired the image with the lovely Mother’s Day digital sentiments to complete the design. I printed the Perfect Peony image twice — once on cardstock and once on regular copy paper to create a mask. After placing the mask on top of the image, I splattered some black ink over it to add a touch of texture and contrast. I added color to the image using my Prismacolor pencils to bring out the beautiful details of the peony, blending the colors for a soft, rich finish. Then, I adhered the colored image to a white A2 card base to complete the card.
Prismacolor pencils:
Pink: PC929-PC994
Green: PC913-PC909
Taty - Hello creative friends! My DT inspiration for the new Mother's Day themed challenge was created with the gorgeous pre-colored Lovely Bouquet Colour digital image and beautiful phrases from the Winnie Celebrations 1 Sentiments bundle. I created an esplosion box to give some chocolates to my mom. The beauty of Polkadoodles digital images is being able to print them in the desired size, as you can see with the small image I decorated the lid and with the large one I decorated the inside of the box
Nunzia: in Italy Mother's day is in May, and this is a good opportunity to make an early gift 😀. I decided to prepare a wallet decorated with Dahlia-flower-2 papers and fussy cut flowers printed in different sizes. The sentiment is taken from Mother's day messages bundle.
Julie - This project was a little complex to show in a photo. For this reason I included a collage photo ( dropbox ) to capture the complexity of the notebook and how the Lavender Tea printables are showcased. Our design team challenge was Mother’s Day… not a card. Hmmm?! What could every mother use, handcrafted from paper using gorgeous digital images that would be heartfelt, beautiful and practical? Why a notebook of course!! Using the lovely Lavender Tea -This collection has so many papers, quotes, frames & tags (not to mention some really cool templates) that make it perfect for creating a Notebook.. and it’s easier than you think! Find all of the details for this project on my blog.
More gorgeous inspiration for you this week to use, big thanks to the team! We hope you'll share what you make with your Polkadoodles products on our Social Media!
