Anyway, we did pull our fingers out and by a very complex and extremely fair voting process we have our Top 3 selection! It was a bit of a shame because a couple of you didn't stick to the rules properly and we therefore couldnt include you which we were gutted about because there were some lush designs, but, rules is rules laydeees! (see sidebar to refwesh yourself!)
...oh, by the way, I just have to mench this - the 1,2,3 blinkies are only given to TOP 3 winners - no-one else! And they are emailed so as to avoid any pinch-age, of which I have to say there have been a few!! So those of you who are displaying said blinkies please remove from your bloggeroons and stay with our friendly game pleeeese, there is a general blinkie for you on the website which you are welcome to have and display! I know there are at least 3 or 4 out there and I hope there are no more, I'm sure you haven't done it on purpose as you maybe don't know our rules yet, and I don't want to offend but we want to make sure the right peeps are recognised for their work....we are a very laid back bunch here at Team Doodle but we like to make sure everyone plays fair.
...anyway now I have got that off my bouncy B cups, the receivers of the coveted PD blinkies this week are, (in reverse order of course!)...
in 3rd place....Hope Jacare
and in joint 1st place, Team Doodle couldn't separate them so they share top spot
Yayyy! congrats to y'all, your creations were fabulous!
These 3 lovelies deserve their awards whole-heartedly for some very spesh entries this week, so please email me at sales@polkadoodles.co.uk and we will send you your rewards toot-sweeet as they say.
Right, back to da business as we say...this week's little sketcheroo just for you (rhymes, get it?). The lovely TD peeps were asked to use the lushalish Polly Polkadoodle this week, although a couple of us were a tad ahead of the game so we haven't all used her although we ARE all lovin' our new luscious little friend, who will be available as a download when the CD is launched in the next couple of weeks. So our challenge to you this week, is to follow the sketch and you must use 3 different papers and at least 1 flower (and please do check the rules!).
Easy peasy lemon squeezy!!
Week 3 Sketch:
Now, Team Doodle have been very busy as usual and I'm know you're going to love this week's ideas...
created by Kerry...love how Kerry has curved the little tags around this flower and the little knot bow is very cute...
created by Lou...Lou did a great criss-cross card, love the soft edges on this card and it's great how she hid the insidey bits for a lovely surprise...
created by Enfys... omg I just LOVE this stunning gift - En didn't quite have time to make the little notecards for the inside but quite honestly I wouldn't give a stuff if I receieved this! She is one creative laydee indeed...
created by Kath...and here is someone else who always pulls it out the bag for us. Love this bright criss-cross card. Kath's inspired me to do the inside of my card this week too, it so finishes it off sometimes...
created by Nikky...this started as a criss-cross and then distracted by Big Brother I didnt quite manage it so i turned into a pop-up instead. I cut a slit into the scallop circle and slotted Polly through so she's poking out of the frame. The wooden dragonflies are on a square pop-up made from acetate. Inside the bird house is also a pop-up.
created by Ruth...Notice how Ruth printed Polly onto watercolour paper so she gives a totally different look, love the shading where she's used watercolour pencils...
created by Michelle...a lovely, simplistic card but great colour combo - the cupcake & flower centres are glittered...

created by Maggie...another great criss-cross card, note the little photo-turn keeping it closed on the front, nice touch!
created by Jozza...big quite often IS better and certainly in this case, I love this huge layered flower - very simple but gorgeous, and she's coloured Polly on the inside - note how she's scattered the inside flowers around the edge as a border...

How is everyone linking their cards? I see where it says {here is my card} or just the word {card} in pink that you click on & go directly to their blog. So, can someone tell me how to do this?
ReplyDeleteThanks, Janis
