We hope you join in the challenge with us - you have until Thurs 30th Jan to enter and our random winner will be announced on Tues 5th Feb. The winner of this challenge will get a great download bundle worth £5!

Let's see what the team came up with for this challenge and you can see the winners of our last challenge at the bottom of the post : )

Zoe - This week saw me make a birthday card (DT challenge met - check!) for an elderly family friend. I used the gorgeous Blossom Flower Picking image from the stunning Cherryblossom Lane Collection. I coloured her with a mix of markers including the superb Graph It's. Simple matting and layering of embossed card, a ribbon & bow plus a ticket sentiment finished it all off nicely.

Anjie For my card I have used the fabulous new Dollie Daydream Girl Talk CD. The image is coloured with Graph 'It Markers. The edges of the papers and imagel have been distresse with ink and I've added some ink lines for more focus. I made some rolled roses from the same papers and mixed them with some flowers from my stash.

Scatty Jan For this week's project I have made a little Birthday Banner Using elements from the Girls Hoot Collection - I made a triangle template, punched little holes to which I threaded Bakers Twine through - I love these little owls so much xx

Susan  This week .I have used a digi from one of my favourite CD collections ,she is called Sporty Billie and is available as a digi download,I have coloured her with graph'it markers.I absolutely love this bundle, I also used one of the papers from Christmas Joy download bundle  .Full details on my blog .

Joanne- I had to use this stamp from the Dollie Dardream girl talk CD when I saw it, it's gorgeous. So I printed it a bit on the large side with co-ordinating papers and sentiment also from the CD and had a colour-in session. I slightly distress inked some of the edges and added card candy embellishments. I have a bit of a teal/aqua obsession at the moment so I am loving the colours of the papers on the CD!!
Sally - Hi, today I have used Dollie Daydream CD Rom to do the Digi Choosday challenge.
I took the papers and images into My Craft Artist and put this lovely card together. I put the sentiment on a little shopping bag.

Katrina - This week I got back to my pens, I have to say I had missed them - I have used one of the gorgeous stamps from the Dollie Daydream CD Rom and coloured it with my copics, the papers I have used are all from my stash of offcuts!

So there's the inspiration for today!
I'm sure you'll agree that they're all superb makes again this week, love love love all the work these guys have put in!

This week as ever our challenge for all of you is

Anything Goes

but if you can join in we have challenged the DT to go
Girl Talk! Yes we are loving the girly theme so we're still in the zone this week!

The winner of this challenge will win Downloads to the value of £10 - woohooo!!!
Make sure you get your entries in by Sun 26th at noon!
Remember you do NOT have to use our products
(although obviously we would love it if you did)

Ruth:  I've gone very clean and simple this week - I've used the coloured digis from Dollie Daydream Girl Talk, printed them directly onto my cardstock and also added one of the sentiments.  The half pearls are from my stash.  Great quick and easy cards for when you're in a hurry!
Zoe - So we were asked to bring out our girlie side this week, and for me, that means shoes! I chose this gorgeous digi from the stunning new Dollie Daydream Girl Talk CD to make this calendar hanging. I printed out the images a number of times as I wanted to decoupage various sections and coloured each top part with a mix of markers. Simple matting and layering along with a calendar block and ribbon finished it all off.

Anjie - For my project this week I thought  it doesn't get more girly than fabulous shoes does it!
The image, papers and sentiment are from the fabulous new Dollie Daydream Girl Talk CD Collection. I have coloured the image with Graph 'It Markers. The flowers on the shoes are highlighted with Glitter Shake - Graph'It Markers. I've matted the papers onto black card to make the papers pop out more. I've made some rolled roses from the same papers and added a bow, some hat pins and die cut banners.
Shell-Well what can I say about this new collection except that it super girlie, it's filled with shoes, bags and make up too...I picked my fave shoe digi and I left it plain and simple to show the shoes off. The image was coloured with copics and promarkers, and the papers were off the cd too

Scatty Jan One of my favourite themes Girly  and I love this new collection Dollie Daydream Girl Talk CD Collection. For my project I used the lovely Parfum bottle and made a shaped card. I decoupaged the bow and the heart and added some gems xx

Lizzie - Well don't all girls have to have their lippy ???? lol !! So I thought I would use one of the embellishments to make a card and bag with. Of course I used the new FABULOUS CD Dolly Daydream !! I took the lipstick image from the elements section into my graphics program 4 times. Lined them up and flipped two images so that the back has lipsticks too !! Cut it out, folded and then cut out another of the two front lipsticks so I could decoupage up. I printed and cut out a girlie, added her to the card along with a sentiment !

I then made a gift bag to match using a white bag and cutting it down !!
So loving this CD !!
Katie New Year New you, and what better way to begin with having a play with the Dollie Daydream Girl Talk CD ROM.  This is such a fab new CD I have really enjoyed playing with my girly side. I love mixed media and thought that I would do something a little different. I have fashioned my paper fan with wooden coffee stir sticks and the flowers are from the Build a Fleur flower section on the CD.  The digi stamp was coloured and cut out to put onto the fan, which can be hung on the wall or popped on an easel to display it. I love the CD and cannot wait to make more! Have fun and Keeeeeeeep Crafting xx

Lou: I have also used one of the girl images for my large tag. I was inspired by the sentiments on the Dolly Day Dream CD and this is what sparked me to make my tag. A bit of doodling and some handmade backgrounds using the papers and mediums, and my tag was finished.

Rebekah - Gosh I just love girlie themes and the new Dolly daydream CD is perfect for all your girlie needs! Here I have made a card using papers and image from the new CD along with rolled rose flowers and sentiment also from the fab CD!!!

Susan This is my first  make for Polkadoodles DT and what a fabulous new CD to start with Dollie Daydream a real girly CD. I have used the papers to cover my project and make the flowers , toppers to embellish the inside and digis coloured with Graph'it Markers for the outside . there's lots more pictures on my blog

Claire C What could be more girly than shopping and who could resist popping in to this gorgeous little shop?? The new Girl Talk collection is crammed full of the most adorable images

I'm sure you'll agree this week's creations are STUNNING!!

Tutorial: Bookmark

Good morning, crafty friends. Asha here and it's my turn to share a tutorial with you. Today I have a cute little project you can make for yourself or as a gift for someone. It's simple does not require any fancy tools AND you can use up your scraps.

So let's get started:

1. You will need a large (at least 2") paper clip (coated or uncoated), 4 punched / die-cut circles and a few flowers.

You can use dic-cut / hand-cut flowers or ready made flowers. I'm using these spiral flowers from Polka Doodles' new Dollie Daydream Girl Talk CD.

2. If you're using spiral flowers, roll them up as shown below. Remember these are going on a paper clip, so roll 'em tight and don't make them too big.

3. Next, using some tacky glue ( eg Tombow), adhere the leaves to one of the round bases. Make sure the leaves are on the top half only so that they show on the outer edge of the book.... it being a bookmark. ;-)

 4. Then, slap on the smaller circle and just wait a couple of minutes for the glue to dry a little.

5. When it's firm to the touch, add more glue and arrange your rolled flowers and any other embellishments.  I used 3 spiral roses form Polka Doodles Dollie Daydream Girl Talk Build a Fleur and added some ribbon and a few bling to fill in the gaps.

6. Take your large paperclip and attach it to the other round base. I'm using a large glue dot. You can also use hot glue. Wet glue is not advisable because you want the base to be firm, dry strong enough to hold the weight of the posy.

7. Attach the posy to the paper clip base.

8. This is what it looks like from behind. Adhere the smaller circle to reinforce base.

9. And here it is in action. Now you see why I said keep the leafy arrangement on the top half!

That's a fun little project and cute any-occasion gift. I hope you'll give it a go and use up all those bits and bobs you've got lying about the craft room floor. AND it's the perfect excuse to buy the Dollie Daydream Girl Talk CD!

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope your day is filled with sunshine and pretty flowers.

Anjie - I know most people find it hard to do male cards and I am one of those people! When I saw this challenge I thought oh no, but then I saw the Boys Hoot Download Bundle I had lots of ideas. Aren't these owls just adorable! The image, the papers and the sentiment are all from the bundle, I've just added some bakers twine and some buttons. In the bundle there are 11 coloured embellishments, 8 sentiments and 11 A4 papers, and is only £3.39 at the moment, and is an instant download so you can get crafting straight away!
Zoe - So for this challenge I couldn't resist using this gorgeous Teddy Bear I coloured him with a mix of markers including the fab Graph It's  I kept the project simple and use up some of my offcuts of card. I embossed them using some folders from my stash. Simple matting and layering and the sentiment finished it off.
Scatty Jan ohhh I am really shocking at Boys cards - I must really get to grips with them - For my card I have used the lovely  Mr Mousey Is'nt he a cutie , love his little bit of attitude - the papers are from Tail Feather Download bundle - I put this together using serif  xx

Debbi - I don't know about you, but I always find it a bit of a struggle to do cards for the male of the species...lol. But I have to admit the idea of this card for this weeks challenge came to me quite quickly...yay! My waistcoat card was made using the 'Boys Hoot Download Bundle' and the buttons I used are from the 'Tail Feather Download Bundle'.

Katrina - Boys, they are hard work but the wonderful Sugar Boys Download Bundle from the store will make your life easy!! This week I once again chose to make a printable card, Im really enjoying making them for something different!   I kept this one quite simple as boys really don't do OTT!!

Susan -This week I have had so much fun making this card ,its for my Grandsons 8th Birthday .
I have used paper from Love will Flourish and the Digi image is from Bonbon Belles CD
I used graph'it markers to colour him in

Jo- I have decorated a clipboard for my son James this week to use on our stargazing trip in the peak district (I've added some photos of the night on my blog x) I turned a boring pink clipboard into a star covered, personalised one so he can make notes like a real scientist ;) I have used papers from Sugar Boys collection and added faux stitching around the edge.

Sally - Hi there.  Today's challenge is For the Boys! - Umm.... Boys and Men are so difficult to do. I decided to use my Cherryblossom Lane CD Rom for this week's challenge.  I chose a coloured image and some backing papers and an embellishment and took them into my Craft Artist.  I matted and layered the background papers and added a shadow, placed my fence behind Mr. Rabbit and added the shadows.  I am quite new to this but I am enjoying playing with it and getting good results. I think.
So there's the inspiration for today!
I'm sure you'll agree that they're all superb makes again this week, love love love all the work these guys have put in!

Tutorial: Make a Shaped card from a Digital Image

Hi everyone.  Karon here to share a tutorial with you today.  I wanted to show that Nikky's digis and CD's are so versatile, that you don't need a fancy cutting machine to make a shaped card.

You find a digi image that you feel will work.  Straight edges or connected in some way.  I am using one of the pre-coloured shoe embellishments off the new Dollie Daydream Girl Talk CD, just good old Microsoft Word and a steady hand.

I first placed the image of the shoe into a Word document and then sized it to the finished size that I would like my card to be.  In this instance, I sized the shoe to be 5.5" wide.  Then copying and pasting and positioning on the paper (narrowest margins used and landscape view).

Now comes the good part :-)  Print out onto card stock and cut out around each of the shoes.  One of the shoes you only need to cut out the bow.

You are going to use one of the shoes to create your template.  I am going to use a piece of cardstock for the base of my card.  I used a 8.5" by 11" piece of card stock, and folded it in half so it is 8.5" by 5.5".

Place the shoe on top of the folded card base and you must leave a little of the left of the shoe over to the left of the fold.  Then carefully trace the outline of the shoe onto your folded card and cut out.

This is now the base of your card.

Your first layer of your shoe can be stuck to this.  I then cut just the bow off the second shoe and placed this using pop dots to add depth.

For the inside I just cut the left edge of the shoe so that the shoe will fit on the inside.  To get a small shoe to be able to write your greeting on, I just flipped the shoe in word, printed it out, but then just flipped it back over and used the white side of the shoe - you can size this accordingly in word - mine is 2.5" wide.

Then you can add any embellishments you would like to the front.  I added a layered flower, also available on the CD and cut by hand and a topper.

And there you have it a lovely shaped card.  Why don't you give it a go.
